Some lady named Lisa called me from this number and said she needs to confirm an address on my sister.   Something about an insurance claim but she wouldn't tell me the name of the agency.

they just called me on a saturday morning at 7:00 and left a message that they want me to confirm information about a file they have but can't leave details on my voice mail about it?

private investigator called me from this number looking for my exwife, she's being sued for causing a car accident.

got a call from this number just now, no message but when I called back they said they're trying to confirm information in a file about where my uncle lives but they won't tell me what it's about.  I think it's a private investigator or process server?

Harvey called me from this number asking me to confirm location information on someone I know.  They're looking for my ex son-in-law.  Don't know how they got my number.   They're looking for him on a shoplifting charge last year.

this is a private investigator working for insurance companies and attorneys.  he called my sister today asking her to confirm my address because they're trying to find me to serve a lawsuit on me for a car accident I was found at fault for a few months ago.  I called the guy and he said Bank of America has a claim against me for $3,800.  i told him to just keep on calling because i wasn't going to give him my address!

My mother got three calls from this number today, every message said they need to confirm location information on someone she knows.  I called it myself from my number and found out they're looking for ME to try and sue me for a bad check.  Watch out what you tell these guys or you're going to throw someone under the bus!

My parents just called me that they were called by this same number, some guy saying he needs to confirm location information about me.  To my knowledge, I'm not being sued by anyone, so don't know why they're trying to find me.

someone from this number called my cell phone today and left a message about needing to confirm information on a file in their office.  Called back, no company name, no ID, some lady answered that it was a claim enforcement company.  They're trying to get a phone number to reach my neighbor.  I asked if she was a process server and she said yes.  I asked if my neighbor is being sued for something and she said, "Let's just say we have some unfinished business with him".  I wonder what he did.

same, I just got a message from lady named crystal that she needs me to call her back about a file placed in her office, supposedly regarding someone I know but she said she can't leave details on an answering machine.  I searched the number and this site got my curiosity up, so I called them back.  It's legitimate, they read me off 4 different addresses for my brother and asked me which one was current.  I wouldn't tell them unless they told me why they want to know, she said it was regarding an insurance settlement and they need him to answer a few questions before they send him a check.  Told her I would have my brother call them directly.

Someone from this number dialed my mother twice this morning, two different people, same message to call back about a file assigned to their office.  She called back thinking it was her mortgage company but found out it's a process server trying to find my sister so they can serve her with a lawsuit for a car accident she caused.  Didn't have insurance I guess, so the insurance company is suing her for the damages.

how do i stop a process server from coming to my house?  my mother didn't know it was an investigator calling her for my address and she gave up my info.

You can't do anything to legally prevent a process server from knocking on your door to serve you.  Even the police and sheriff can't legally stop them unless the process server is doing something illegal.  I myself had one banging on my door for a straight 45 minutes one day and called the police.  They arrived and informed me there was nothing they could do.

Well, this is one call I'm glad I returned.  These guys called my father 6 times last week asking him to confirm my address.  My dad was worried it was a bill collector so he kept telling them he didn't know where I was.  I finally called them back today and found out the reason they were looking for me was because an uncle of mine died and left me a $25,000 inheritance!!!!

In most cases, if a process server is trying to find you, it's because someone has filed a lawsuit against you and needs to serve you with the suit ("service of process"). You might check online with your local court to see if you have been named in a lawsuit so at least you can find out who is suing you and you can call them to negotiate a resolution and have the suit dismissed.  However, if you're being sued by someone in another state, it may be near impossible to find out who the plaintiff is.

They called me as well. I returned the call. The company is called I-Recovery LLC. They investigate claimed debts. When I called them, they claimed that I had an outstanding unpaid debt. I let them know that the debt was paid and sent them the correspondence. They said that they were unaware of this. They apologized and took my name and number out of their database. I haven't heard from them since.

Number is stated to be I Recovery, LLC. Company out of Nevada.

Someone called asking for Kim Kerson--if not, hang up!!!  Weird

These same people have called me from MANY different phone numbers.  They leave very detailed messages on an answering machine.  The problem is the calls are not for us and I have repeatedly told  them that!  (Only my husband and myself live here.)  The calls are for one of our children.   These people don´t care.  They always say they will take your phone number off of their records, but what they don´t tell you is that they sell the debt and the calls start all aver again.  Now I am ready to file a law-suit against them for harassment.

Very vague message left, didn't even say who they were calling for or what company they are.  Just that they can't leave the info on a voicemail & I (or whoever) must call back.
