Kinda convincing . Hence, I'm here now. Said they were a magazine, trying to "renew" my subscription. Had my old address. Unfortunately I gave them my New address before I realized what was up. I told suspended any business with me.

They called and said $79 would be charged to our credit card by tonight for renewal /subscription and we had to verify our personal info.  They wouldn't give us the magazine name.

Same here. I am glad that I hung up on them. They said that my credit score would be affected in a negative way if I did not give them information.

Magazine scam where they said I was signed up for an automatic 5 year renewal. I said I never received or signed up for the magazine. I was told I could not cancel with her but she could stop the renewal. When I asked to be transfered to the cancellation department, she couldn't give me any specific information said her Supervisor had that information. The first piece of information she wanted was my date of birth (huge red flag!). My fiancee got on the phone and asked for her name and info and said he would call the police. After that, she quickly tried to get off the phone.
