Electricity Scam. Left message to call back with electric bill , because I've been overpaying. Don't do it they want your account number so they can switch your provider to higher rates.

Same as above.  They called a number not associated with my electricity account so I'd call this very suspicious.

Wanted my billing info.

Caller sounded like a prerecorded woman, telling me they know I'm overpaying on my bill. They said to call them back at 800-448-1602  with my account number to have my rate reduced. Definitely a scam of some sort.

9/27/2016, 2:15PM. Female left message on voice mail saying I am owed money back from overpaying my electric bill, using the name of my electric company, but not saying she was associated with it. Like the other examples, she gave instructions to call this number with my electric bill particulars.

same as the above -- called an office line not associated with any electricity accounts. Although it was prerecorded they really tried to make her sound live and realtime by adding some umms in there and an oh and please comment -- hilarious, I hope she gets a real job soon.

same as the above, a scam, a women left me a message that i over payed for my electric bill  and to call back with my late statement bill etc.. scam scam scam, they never do this over PHONE! they send you in the mail any thing or something thats legit not on the phone! SCAM BE ALERT!

Same as most other comments. The reason I googled this phone number is because the recorded women's voice didn't give a company name, nor did any appear on caller ID. She said that due to some Ohio state law, I am eligible for a "generation discount." I was told to call 800-448-1602 with a copy of my bill (still not knowing what bill or company she meant) and she then gave me a reference number to use. Just another disgusting scam!!

I Googled  the number before listening to the message but it's the same.

from some electric "company" phishing for info.   BLOCKED!!!

Dead air voicemail.

 I got a call from this number today and it was exactly like Sandy in Ohio. I too am in Ohio. This woman left her name (Dorothy C.), an alias most likely, and said call her. I blocked the number

Call from 800-448-1602, Katherine Neuman called regarding "electric account." She said I am "now eligible to receive a reduced rate. Call by next billing cycle... and be sure to have a copy of your bill handy when you call back." Nope!

Called my cell and then woman's voice said "sorry wrong number" and hung up.  Now blocked.
