Calls received. No messages. Nothing

This is a computer tech scam.  The say they are with Microsoft (they are NOT).  They sign onto your computer using a legitimate program that allows someone to look at your computer remotely; they then "show" you all the terrible problems your computer supposedly has.  Unless you a very computer savvy, you won't realize that what you are looking at is harmless.  The tech will pretend it is something awful and that your computer will experience an irrevocable system crash!  That is NOT TRUE!  Throughout the call,they repeat that they are "just gonna fix that problem right up for ya", implying that there is no cost.  However, when confronted, they will offer a range of prices to fix the current problem and then monitor for MALWARE.  These costs run from around $300 PER YEAR upward!  The malware program that I run cost $49.  So, PLEASE--THERE IS NO REASON TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.  THEY CANNOT DO WHAT THEY SAY AT ANY PRICE.  And what they use to "sucker" people in IS A LIE!

Got 2 calls from 2 different numbers 4481840 and 5683611 . Left voice mail automated saying they r from the irs and have a law suit against me. And want me to call different number for information about it. I never called it cuz i know its a scam

Got a call from this number saying he was with "Windows." He said we had refused several Windows upgrades, and he wanted us to install those upgrades by following his instructions.  When I refused, he told me our Windows license would be revoked. This exchange went on for a good ten minutes, and he finally said very sarcastically, "Well, good luck!"  I hung up.  It was obviously a scam.

Just got a call from the tech "Jason Skies"  claiming to be with Mircorsoft telling me that my computer has been hacked.  Big time scam right off the bat.  The number the call originated from is 567-244-1627 with a Toledo, OH caller ID address.  I asked for a call back number in which the 800-448-1840 number was given.  Anything a person states in a situation like this is almost 90% false.  Do not give out any information or do anything until you can verify the legitimacy of the call.

I got a call showing 800-448-1840.  The male on asked about my Windows computer.  I, with 35 years working on computers saw red with all the flags this raised.  I asked who he was with and he replied "computer maintence".  I then asked why he was calling and what computer was he referring to as I have several and he said the windows computer.  I told him this is a scam and I would report him to which he stated no you have us all wrong and asked me about my license for windows, I repeated it is a scam and he hung up.

guy claimed to be a Microsoft tech who was getting feedback from my computer. Sounded very bogus so I looked up the number and discovered that it is totally a scam.

Just got the call from this number stating he was with Microsoft. I did not let him go any further. I told him he was mistaken, that I knew it was a scan, and that he'd better take my number off whatever list he had it on. And I hung up.

Scam call claiming they are from Microsoft and your computer has viruses. User has middle eastern English accent.

Got a call from this number.  Asked about my Windows computer.  Told him I don't own a Windows computer and he said "Oh" and hung up.  Totally a scam!

just received a call from (800) 448 1840, as you can read above they prentended to be from Microsoft and told me my computer is in threat of malware. Funny thing is I am very computer savvy and I know that Microsoft would never call someone to tell them this so immediately I knew it was a scam. Please do not pay attention to this call and do not give them personal information such as passwords or user names.

Someone just called representing a Global company that can fix my computer of a virus.  Be aware!

Jerk called asking me if I was the owner of the phone number. I immediately recognized a scam, and replied "of course."  Idiot claims to be calling from MS. I let him know I am on the no call list and will be reporting him to the authorities. The stupid [***] wants to debate me.  I hang up on the scammer. Now I am going to take a little time to expose this scammer to the world.  I hate these low life scum.

Scammer wanting to fix my computer but didn't know who or where I was at. Yeah, right.  Reported call to Missouri Attorney General as a criminal call for prosecution for the no call list violation.

Person asks me "Is this Elisha Hunter?"

They just called me and continue to tell me how in great danger our laptop was I consistently asked for a letter in the mail or someone else to detail to me what exactly the problem was and how they found out about it the man continued to be persistent that it was serious and finally got fed up with us because we refused to give him the information he was demanding to access our computers so he hung up on us

Received a call from a man wanting to get in my computer because I had a serious virus in my Windows. I was in the middle of working with a repair person in my home.  I asked for his name and number.  I later Goggled the 800-448-1840 and found all of you,  Thank you for your info.

What [***] ! Just got the same call and I said it's a scam and he's like no it's not mam go to your computer and I'll help you. Absolutely not haha blocking and reporting

I looked at the same cached page. THe "reviews" look like they were written by the scam artists. "I just love that I trusted my computer with total strangers who I didn't solicit blah blah blah"
