- fed ex customerthis number just called me, but i didn't pick up because caller ID said "unknown." appeared to be a legit FedEx person asking how they could help me to use my acct. i have no pending shipments. strange marketing call, but he gave me a number to call back if i was suspicious. it's unfortunate that the crooks have made every call a suspicious one these days. they really didn't have any info to help me, and i was cautious not to give any personal info, just in case. odd. category call type as unknown, because you don't have a choice marked "marketing."
- Caller: "unknown" apparently, FedEx
- OTSA| 1 replyUnsure if this is a legit number or not, they call 3-4 times a week asking for our AP dept. When I tell them I will take a message and have someone return their call, they say they will call back later.
- Caller: FedEx
- HossDidn't leave a message. Not that I wanted one.
- Caller: It's all hear-say
- Mike| 1 replyGot a call today , said they tried to deliver a package but I had moved. Asked where the package was coming from. The women said a company that I used to work for and presently have some legal issues with. Sounded legit. How would they know the company I used to work for

Doesn't sound anywhere near legit, if they didn't tell you what company it was from or even why they had any knowledge of whether you worked there or not, let alone if it was about some legal issues. FedEx wouldn't have any such knowledge of the package contents or its history.Quote:presently have some legal issues with. Sounded legit. How would they know the company I used to work for
All of that screams scam! - BSGot a call from this number. In light of the fact that they mentioned FedEx was hit in the recent hacking attacks, I am fairly certain this is not legit. They described a situation I did not recognize, so I plan to ignore.
- Caller: FedEx
- cleomobile| 1 replyThe number 800-463-3339 appears to be a legit FedEx number. HOWEVER...the person did not leave a voicemail the first time they called. Then called again and left a voicemail with a different phone number - 855-556-0557. The voicemail was vague. She said "This message is for XXXX. This is XXXX with FedEx. I'm calling about an account set up with a credit card. I NEED a call back at 1-855-556-0557 extension 1004."
I later got an email with the same number to call. However, the email is very unprofessional, has poor grammar and does not look "official" to me. It reads "PLEASE CALL ME regarding Fedex acct opened using Visa" and has a name and phone number (the same 855 number).
Upon googling the number I see mixed reviews of what it might be. One report indicates it's FedEx Account Recovery Department. The email states it is "Fraud & Security Control." So I'm skeptical.
I forwarded the email to abuse@fedex.com So I guess we shall see. I set up an account to have a few packages sent to me from a hotel while on vacation. I got the packages and my credit card was charged appropriately so I fail to see what the issue might be at this point. - cleomobile replies to cleomobileI've gotten a total of 4 calls in the last 3 1/2 - 4 hours (only 1 voicemail). If this really is FedEx I don't think they'd call multiple times like this. I just don't think a reputable company would do that.
- LI believe the mystery of this number is solved. Over the years I've received a call from 1-800-463-3339 and when I call back I hear the "scam" message about travel stuff. But I am expecting a FedEx package from outside Canada. I call FedEx Canada and then they transfer me to the International customer service. Anyway, the store is that the toll-free number when called within the USA will go to FedEx customer service. BUT in Canada the toll-free number got squatted by another business. USA and Canada can have the SAME toll-free number owned by different companies. Yup, this causes a lot of confusion.
If you call 1-800-463-3339 from a USA number or a VOIP service like through Google (Gmail too at left hand side for free if from Canada/USA) you'll reach FedEx USA.- Caller: FedEx

- KatI received a voicemail last night from FedEx. Message said they would be delivering a package "tomorrow", and someone needed to be there to sign for it. I've ordered numerous items recently, but did not think they were coming thru FedEx., so I called the 800 number. Nice lady answers. I ask if they had a package coming to my address today. She looked, and said nothing was coming to that address. I began reading all of these responses and within 5 minutes, FedEx is at my front door. It was a delivery my husband was expecting. It did require a signature. I told the delivery lady abt the phone call I had just made to FedEx, and she said that was crazy! There was definitely a package for our address !
Not sure what to think. Read so many different opinions, & thought I'd share my experience!!- Caller: 800 463-3339
- FredThis is fedex, no doubt. They left a voice mail, with a tracking number. This tracking number is a shipment that went out by fedex via Staples. It advised me the delivery will need a signature. It isn't spam.

- jetamesThis is a FEDEX phone number but apparently their number is often spoofed. To my knowledge, I am not expecting any FEDEX packages. In January of 2016, I blocked all 800 numbers that begin with the numeral "4." This morning's call was blocked. CID read 800 SERVICE - not FedEx. Use caution.
- Call type: Telemarketer

- Tahir GilaniLots of Scam calls coming now a days. Got a call from 1-800-463-3339 / the guys was pretending that he is calling from FED EX, want to speak with my wife only. I told him that she is not at home. He said that we require her signature on a parcel delivery. He was also asking that there is some money on COD. I suspected immediately that this is a scam call. My advice, never reveal or share your personal information to any strange calls, no need to be afraid.
