Got a call from this #, 800-463-3339, but didn't answer. Called back and got busy signal. They did leave a vm, however, it was in Chinese and only word I could recognize was FedEx! Do believe this is a scam.

They left a voicemail in Chinese. Though the number comes up as FedEx on a Google search, it also had this search response:

The number belongs to FedEx. FedEx does make automated calls about upcoming deliveries.
In my case, this is exactly what happened.
However, all caller ID info is easily spoofed, and scammers are always doing that.

Normally when I receive the shipping automated message from FedEx call display show FedEx.  This time it showed unknown caller.   The voicemail left was the standard message I was expecting with delivery date, time range and tracking number

Caller from India, knew my name, said she wanted to sell me more business or something. Never had marketing calls from FedEx before. Really has scam written on it, I told her not to call anymore anyway

Called my home number three times yesterday; left no message. The name field in the caller ID was [V] once and blank the other two times.

I recieved a text from my ex bf/boss, saying he got a message from fed ex.and he said the lady spoke so fast he had to listen to it 10 times to get the tracking number! I have a tracking number. This was the number he gave me to call.  the PROBELM is IM NOT EXPECTING A PACKAGE AND .. that where I live Fed Ex delivers (ALL deliveries) get transferred to Purolator as they are the only company that delivers to my small town..and they know where I live (the driver brings treats for our dogs) so yup. Definetly weird.

This is a legitimate Fed Ex caller.  Knew I had an account and wanted to discuss my shipping needs and see if they could improve pricing, etc.

A guy named Johnny claiming to be from FedEx called twice (Thurs 7/1/21 and Tues 7/6/21) from 800-463-3339, said he missed delivering a package to us, and to call 844-200-4580 to set up a time to deliver. I was here on both days and no attempted delivery or door tag was left.  Called FedEx at official customer support number, and rep said 844-200-4580 is not an official FedEx phone number.

It's somehow both legitimately fedex and scam callers. It's fedex's real number, but a lot of scammers manage to use it as well. It's really odd but legitimate. Dont confirm anything over the phone and if you really believe them then just check on the site. The extra minutes could save you unnecessary hassle in the long run

Keep missing calls from this number at 6-7-8am PST. Called back but Fedex doesnt know anything about these calls.
PS do not expect any packages. Probably their number is fished.

Just FYI, the term you are looking for is "spoofed" not "fished".

I received a call from "fedex" telling me they wanted to deliver a package that required a signature & it would be delivered in the afternoon.  They left an 800# that was in fact, a fedex #.  When I called to track the package, the recording had the # I was calling from & my package/delivery#..they said the message was the same as the one in the morning..the package was on its way to the local
receiving station & would be delivered toward the end of the work day...it was already after 5..at 10:30p.m I still don't have a package.  I was not expecting a package...especially one that required a signature & I'm guess I was scammed but every time I called the 800# the recorded voice knew I had called before...& when I googled the phone# it showed as a fedex#...

Just got one of those scam callers.  And I took them what I thought of them and hung up.  Very unprofessional.

Pretending to be FedEx. Not sure how they got my work number but I did chat with FedEx (I think it was FedEx) on Twitter. When I hung up on them, I got a text saying my vm password was changed. Don't give them any information.

I am not expecting any package so I think scammers spoofed a real FedEx number. Be careful
