This stupid number faxes me at my home phone.  I'm gonan find out what bs company this is and SUE you for harrassment.

I got a fax signal too. And faxes from 732-542-3012 (EATONTOWN, NJ) and faxes from 888-549-0640... and I presume (assume) it is faxes from the CHASE database to inpregnate your business and find the owner for permissions to hound you. If they have confirmed your response the name on their collections is the owner of the business, they have legal grounds to call you at work and collect. If you are an employee, they cant harrass you at work legally.

Caller ID indicates it comes from Toll Free.  No [***] Sherlock!!!  Get a fax tone when I answer.

Since this is a fax, decided to send them a fax back using my All-In-One printer/fax/copy machine.  I took a blank piece of paper, wrote "Stop Calling - included my phone number", and faxed it to the 800 number.  I made sure the header info did not include my real name and/or my "actual" call back phone number.  I hit redial, machine asked if I wanted to send fax already in memory, I said yes.  I continued to do this several times.  Then, after about 10 submittals of this same fax, I started getting a recorded message saying "Sorry, the number you are dialing cannot be reached from your calling area", and then I get a busy signal and my machine reports "recipient fax busy".  Not sure what that means exactly; however, since I have the machine set to redial on "Busy" and "No Answer", I guess it will continue to try and resend the fax until I finally shut everything down for the day.

Hopefully this will stop calls from this number.

I get fax calls from this number almost daily. I have no fax machine, so all I get is the 'fax ring' on my phone. They often repeat 3 times before stopping. If I go away for a week, I will return to have 15 to 21 of these on my answering machine. I want to ring someone's neck.  Who the hell are these trespassers?

This number has been faxing me for over 2 years, but didn't get the number till recently. It usually says "unknown caller" on the id, but suddenly started showing a number.

Junk faxes at least every day.

This is no doubt a junk fax robot fishing for fax machines. They automatically call thousands of phone numbers. If they connect to a fax machine - even once - that number goes into a junk fax database send junk faxes. Yes, it's illegal. The process seems very tedious and cumbersome to get at these people. There is a great website junkfax dot org (not sure how this board treats urls) that has a ton of information about people like this. (I'm not affiliated, and the website doesn't sell anything). Looked up the number on here to see what anyone else knew, but it sounds like you all are in the same boat I am - just trying to get the ringing to stop!

I just got someone else to stop calling my regular phone number.  Maybe he sold my number to these people. It's been happening since I took over this number almost 3 years ago.

My caller ID shows 800-475-5216, Toll Free Number. Since they were trying to send a fax, I decided to send them three faxs. I wrote "STOP ATTEMPTING TO SEND UNSOLICITED FAXS to (included my phone number) Also at the bottom of the fax I put cc: FTC, FCC. Meaning carbon copy to FCC & FCC.  I will have to wait and see if that has any affect on them.  I made certain the header info did not include my name or my voice call back number.

I'm in the same boat as the rest of you guys.  I hate this !@#$ !@#$% , but have yet to figure a way to get at these !@#$.  I'm going to check out Junk fax . org and i'll let you all know.
