Consumers energy

I keep getting calls from this number and googled it to find out it's Consumers Energy. I called Consumers to find out what they wanted and they told me they never called and there's nothing wrong with my bill and no reason for them to call. DO NOT give these people ANY info. If they say they're from Consumers, hang up and call back.

This call came to me through skype.  I have no knowledge as to who this is and blocked them from calling again.

Consumers Energy. You will get this call if your power goes out!

Change your notification settings to avoid these "reminder/notification" calls.

800-447-5050 has contacted me in thepast when the power has been out, today leaving a message that power would be re-stored in my area around 6:30pm.   My home is fine, however possibly somewhere in the area I live in it is not.   All is good.

Did I just get 'duped' from phone #  1-800-477-5050?   (michigan Natural Gas)   I have tried to reach Consumers Power 6x, and every time I connect, the phone goes dead.   HELP!

I have talked with a Consumers Energy representative who assured me that the "Michigan Natural Gas" Company is NOT affiliated with them, and that t he CANCELLATION # they gave me (1 888-988-6424) is NOT a working #.  WHAT DO I DO???  I WANT "OUT"!

It's a scam!  They say your power will go out toda but they can't give you info on your account.  I went round and round with this guy and he gave me an address that was actually demolished about 18 years ago.

I do want to add scammers can get in thru the correct consumers phone number!  they will never ask for payment right then and there.  They will confirm all of your information and work with you!!!  You will have to call back to make payment if they do indeed need payment!

Caller said CPL electricity was going to  be cut off.We done use this company for our electricity.  Told guy our electric bill is paid and pay for at least a month or two ahead of time. Unable to give more info but did give this number to  call 800-580-5775.

Power outage

Caller from this number 800-477-5050 said our electric power was 'bout to be cut off in an hour and that a Consumers Energy crew was in the area. Gave this number to report & straighten out our account to avoid cutoff: 800-657-5490 to talk to his Supervisor at Consumers
Obvious to me a Phishing scammer

The 800-477-5050 number comes up on Consumers website if you have too many unsuccessful login attempts.

Consumer Energy scam. Says our power will be cut off in 1/2 hour. Please call 800-464-8616. Scam!

Scam. Caller ID said CONSUMERS, but said our electricity was going to be shut off in 30 mins because we haven't paid our bill. The only problem is that we only get gas from Consumers and our autopayment came out for the most recent payment. They told us to call 1-800-804-6170. By the way, it's been 32 mins and the power is still on.

Everyone in my area has Consumer's Energy as their provider.  The electricity actually went out (for at least my entire block) last night right around 1 AM and was off for about an hour. During that time two call attempts were made to my number, presumably one automated to tell me the power was out, and a second automated one about an hour later was to tell me the power was back on. Because my crowd-sourcing spam blocker had this registered as a spam call, it was blocked and my phone didn't ring. At least in this setting it was two valid call attempts from my electric company. I'm not sure I really want to receive calls like this in the middle of the night so I need to modify my alert settings with Consumer's Energy.

Also forgot to add that at the same time I also received two text messages from Consumer's (via a different shorter cell text number)  that correspond with the outage time and calls mentioned above.

We’re on autopay (with Consumers Energy), and receive calls from this number advising us of our next payment amount (for the recent billing period), along with the date this payment will be withdrawn from our account. We also get a courtesy call on the day prior to withdrawal. It is an ‘automated machine call’ which we appreciate. I never answer when they call, but a message us left on our voicemail which provides a nice record when I’m ready to record the pmt in our checkbook.

Consumer's Energy calling to let me know that an opportunity to save money was coming up.
