Keep calling for the same person whose name we can't even pronounce for almost a year. We have asked them to stop calling the number, but they still do, and asking our names to identify ourself that we are not related to the person that they are looking for. It is ridiculous.
If you are calling from 1-800-481-6006, please kindly respect people's words and stop calling people when they tell you that you have the wrong number. Thank you very much.

Someone from J&L Teamworks 1 8004016006 keeps calling everyday and its gotten to the point its irritating. They dont answer the phone, its just a computer calling now and wants me to press 1 but im not sure how I can have them to stop calling. In the past I tried to talk to someone but they are very rude and dont want to say who they are or what they are calling about. I dont have any issues with any company or debt that would suggest I owe money and the only reason I think its  a debt collector is from what I have found out online based on the phone number and name that comes up on my caller ID... Does anyone know how to make them stop?

Read all about debt collection rules here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm which states:
"What practices are off limits for debt collectors?
Harassment. Debt collectors may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact. For example, they may not:
   * use threats of violence or harm;
   * publish a list of names of people who refuse to pay their debts (but they can give this information to the credit reporting companies);
   * use obscene or profane language; or
   * repeatedly use the phone to annoy someone."

The FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf requires debt collectors to give debtors *written* notice of debt:
"§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing—
(1) the amount of the debt;
(2) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed;
(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;
(4) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty-day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgment against the consumer and a copy of such verification or judgment will be mailed to the consumer by the debt collector; and
(5) a statement that, upon the consumer’s written request within the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor."

I do not know why this organization calls me.  They do not leave a message..just hang up. I have read many postings on line...this is apparently a debt collection agency and I have NO idea why they would be contacting me.

WOW!!!  They may not be able to read but i hope they can spell better than you (: you have to be a debtor if all you do is sit around and post comments all day about the bill collectors that are calling you because you havent paid for services that were rendered to you. Man up and pay your bill!!! lol!!!

I actually called this outfit back and supposedly the person who I am supposed to talk to was in a meeting.  So I left a message with my cell number as I'm rarely at home during the day.  They never called me back and still robodial our house.  Unimpressed.

They collect for hospitals for one. They have harrassed us for over a year. My husband did have an ambulance bill after a heart attack, we pay every month and every month they call and say we didnt or we were late. They "supposedly" are not a collection agency but that is a bunch of crap, they are worse. Iam going to have therm put it into collections just to get them off of my back.Today they called again and said our payment didnt go through. Talking with my bank I got a print out proving we did have the money in the bank and they did NOT try to send it through for payment. They have another number 209 335 5040. The reps name is Teraza.

I'd only pay the hospital and not this joint. the hospital can deal with removing it from collections.
From what I know the hospitals hire this company to harass but they can't do anything more and it doesn't go on your credit report

Yeah services rendered by a hospital to save a person's life who now can't work because they were hit by someone else in a car who had no insurance..........sticking the victim with $500,000 in debt is exactly what we should do to that person. F&CK creditors period!!!!
