Got The Same Threating Call About A Tax Audit ..Sounds Like A Recorded Message .I Know It's A Scam

A message was left on my answering machine threatening legal action if I did not call them back.

It's the CRA scam.  In the US it's the IRS scam. Block the number.  Some info on the scam:

I just received a call from this number and he told me that the RCMP were coming to my door to arrest me for tax invasion and that I could spend upwards of 10 years in jail and/or a $100,000.00 fine.  I was to get $3986.00 together today and then the caller said that once I had secured the funds then he would direct me to the nearest CRA office and I could then pay the monies and go over my taxes with the CRA agent.  I called the CRA and they assured me that the police nor RCMP are never dispatched and then they googled the number and suggested that I do the same so that I could see that it is a scam.
