This was a call telling me there were some purchases on my debit card (there were... I was Christmas shopping) but it was asking me for my social security number and my zip code... not feelin' that kind of question from an automated machine, especially since it was an actual person who had called me before when something "suspicious" had occured with my card.

Call telling me they wanted to check on purchases made with visa card. Asked for sensitive info SS ect.  I told them to send a letter and I would respond...they started to flake.  When I asked them what type card I was holding they didn't know. If you get a call from these morons they are trying to scam you for the info?? Report this as a Fraud Number!!  [***]!

This is Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Fraud prevention, if you're a member you can't use your card until you verify your purchases. If you're not a member, give them a return call to verify that they have the wrong number on file

I received the same call today, June 7 2016. After reading these posts I was hesitant in calling them back, so I called FMFCU's member services directly. They confirmed the number as their fraud department and transferred me back directly. I'm thankful they did. I was asked to verify purchases made on my card, only to find out someone tried to make a very large purchase using my card. I'm glad I decided to lool into this or I would have been sorry about it later.

This is legit Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union fraud alert call to protect your account. When you call back the recording tells you the last 4 digits of your card & lists purchases made on your card, that you then verify as valid or unauthorized. My card was used fraudulently. You must call back ASAP or the debit charge will be applied to your account & you'll have to dispute it later.

A recording said there was fraudulent activity on my card. But the last 4 digits of the card they were calling about was not the number on my card.  After calling the credit union, it was discovered this call was a scam.
