Got a call today that I won a 2008 Lincoln Navigator.

Recieved a voice mail from "Tanisha" from ?? (couldn't catch the name of the business/organization, but it sounded like Kent/Tent/Pant/Pent International of IL?) saying that I'd been selected as one of four finalists for a 2008 Ford Explorer or $25,000 cash.  Said I'd been entered "somehow" 6-9 months ago and that there was no cost to me, no clubs to join, no products to buy.

She left an 800 number for me to call back (800-504-6037), however the incoming number that registered on my cell phone when she called was (563) 242-2250.  After some online research, it appears that this number is from a Low Moor Garbage/Rubbish Removal company in Clinton, IA (and the google link I found is hosted/sponsored by Gatehouse Media, who owns my local Peoria, IL newspaper, The Peoria Journal Star)!?  

I called the Iowa number back direct and planned to ask for Tanisha, but no one ever answered.  To my surprise, howerver, the voice mail was indeed for someone named Tanisha (no last name included).  Interestingly enough, her voice mail greeting DID NOT announce/indicate the company she works for...I did not leave a message for her.  :)

My guess is that this individual has a full-time day job and that she 'moonlights' by making outbound "you've won! calls" from her FT employers phone?!  

Just seems strange to me...

I received this same phone call at 2:30 this afternoon on my cell phone. The caller ID showed 563-242-2250 which is Clinton, IA and the voice mail left was from Tanisha with Penn/Pent some unintelligible company in Peoria, IL. She did not address me by name, just told me my name had been drawn from a drawing three months ago and I would receive one of four prizes in the 2008 Lincoln Navigator/$45,000 sweepstakes, which I've never entered. She said all I had to do was arrive at the 35 minute "grand opening" at Peoria Civic Center Plaza this upcoming weekend (December 19, 20, 21), which I cannot find any information on. She then stated it would cost me nothing, it was not a timeshare, and left this 800 number to call her back. I called the number with the intentions of telling her she had the wrong number and I didn't enter a sweepstakes, only to receive Tanisha's voice mail message telling me she was busy and to have a blessed day. I didn't leave a message. I get scam calls on my cell phone all the time, and this has been the weirdest one I've received. I want to know how she could make money by telling people they've won a fake sweepstakes. Or does she just run up and rob you if you show up this weekend at the Civic Center Plaza?

Same old s**t..I won the Lincoln or what ever.... call back to 1800-504-6037..will not call too smart for the crap!
