Caller left a message on answering machine, mentioned me by name, and said they were from Wal-Mart and had a question about one of my prescriptions and gave this number and an extension to call back.  I called my local Wal-Mart Pharmacy to see if there was any question or problem with any of my prescriptions. They said there was not.  I'm wondering if this is a new scam to get personal info.

I got a call from this number...let it go to voice mail.  they said they were from Wal-Mart Pharmacy, and wanted to set up some kind of plan for my prescriptions.  Was wondering if this is a scam.

It is not, it is a service provided by your insurance company and administered through wal-mart.  Once a year you can speak to a pharmacist to make sure that there are no problems with the combination's of drugs that you are being prescribed.  They were very nice to me.

Callers do ask to verify date of birth and address - this is required by HIPPA (Health Privacy Laws).

These people are saying that they received a call out of the blue.  The information on the page you are referring to clearly says that you must call them.  Spoofers can put any number and caller name they want to show when making a scam call.  I would be more inclined to believe that this is a scam call.  I would also have to wonder why you came here, after obviously looking up a number that you claim you knew everything about.  What would be the rationale for that?

We just received a call from this number.  The caller said they were calling from Walmarts Pharmacy and that they wanted to speak to me about a prescription.  They asked me to call this number back.

Buddy you are full of it. I called Walmart and they don't blind call and warned me it is a scam. These rotten scammers sit around in the mother's basement and think up new ways to scam people all the time. It gets old dealing with low-life's and their petty crap.  Scum.

Another 800 number scam.  Just seven entries and I count two as shill posts.   As of now this number has  a 29% shill rate.

High shill rates on these 800 numbers is a clear indicator of a scam.

Ignore and block the number

I received a similar call that I let go to voicemail. Again the caller said a pharmacist needed to speak to me about a script. I do not have any prescriptions with them.

The lady said she was Walmart Center Pharmacy and I was approved to get free medicine she wanted to know my address date of birth and my prescription list. So I question why because they should have all that. They called back and says for a Walmart Humana

Same voice message as other reports. Called local Walmart pharmacy and they were just as puzzled as me. SCAM.

Received a call from the 800 number, whom barely spoke English, said she was from the Walmart Pharmacy. She was asking questions so fast about information she needed that she was confusing me. I got irritated because she couldn’t, or wouldn’t slow down for me to understand her. I hung up. When my sister-in-law came by, she immediately suspected it was a scam call. She looked it up and let me know that was the case. Let unknown callers go to Voicemail, the important message you need will be there later, without confusion or upset.

Just received a call wanting to know my DOB. I gave it. Then they asked for address and when I said they should have it as well as my Med list they wouldn’t respond. So scam and I hung up!

I let the same 800# go to my voicemail. Said a pharmacist from Walmart pharmacy wished to speak with me. Left the number and the time open was 8-5central time. I have not called them back. They have called me twice! I dont even use any Walmart pharmany.

Man using WalMart Central Pharmacy name asked me (by my whole correct name) to call this 800 # back!
WalMart said they do NOT use any 800 # service!

I don't know about that. I don't even use Walmart pharmacy and I have had a message from this number.
