I decided to call back the number they called me from instead of calling the 800#. It's a scam, stating I was having charges of check fraud and if I didn't pay I would go to jail. I work for the government and hold a clearance, so of this was actually true I'd be out of a job. Anyway, once I started to question the gentleman, he got nasty and  said he would take this as a refusal and hung up on me. I kept calling back, and he just was rude and kept hanging up. Only scary thing is they knew ALL of my personal information.

I do hate that last part. They know ALL of our info. I've looked myself up, and because I've been a victim of identity theft - my actual name and close (and some distant) relatives are on blast. They have been harassed over the years as well. My info is on the dark web - but because I've frozen my credit info - NO ONE can try to open anything in my name and social again. Anyone who tries it,will be stopped immediately.  It's a sad world we live in where people are so willing to defraud and hurt other humans. It's like there are demons walking among us who will do anything for money. These idiots don't know - NONE of my friends/relatives will bite - and I WILL NEVER AGAIN answer a call I don't already have as a contact. If it goes to voicemail, I'll listen. If it's bogus, it gets blocked and the call gets deleted from my call list.  I have another backup through my phone service that detects possible scam calls and provides me with a list - they never make it to the ring phase - and I don't get any voice messages from those calls. Just one last thing I need to say:  LISTEN UP SCAMMERS - You're running out of fools out here. GO GET A LIFE and stop trying to ruin the lives of others. I pity you fools.

These folks have been calling me for years. Every time I block a number , they call from a different one. The last time I spoke with one of them when I decided to call the number back, not the 800 #, and I told him to go ahead and do what he had to do because he was not getting anything out of me. He got rude and hung up.

They call me all  the time. When I block the number they call form a different one. This needs to stop. Scammers need to get a life and find something else to do. Says his name is David Morris from the outsource dept.

I've been scammed before... NO MORE!! I have my name on the Federal "Do Not Call List" . How this person ever got through is beyond me. He left a message on my phone and said his name was David Morris. From a place called All Source... Saying that he received a complaint about me and that if i didn't call back, he would take it as non-compliant and take matters into his hands...Let him. I'm waiting and so is my Attorney and the Sheriffs Dept. I havent bought anything for 9 years and all my payments have been paid. I have't received any letters from this company, saying I owe anything.

Seem to be majorly confused about several things. The registry is not a call blocker which you should already know. It also does not include preventing debt collection calls, something else you should already know. All of that was clearly explained over there, but you failed to read it. I doubt anyone is actually waiting since no one will actually show up.

Ya know someone should contact Discover Bank and tell them to start putting a phone number on the back of their credit card so that people can easily call them and ask them questions like that.

    Debt Extortion Scammers

A vague scare tactic message designed to panic a victim into calling back.
    Quote:
This message is for {the read and more} file number s G L 9190 This is David Morse with outsourcing Department this calls in regards to a complaint filed in our office we do not hear from you or your appointed representative we will have to report your noncompliance if you have any questions regarding this matter contact our office at 1-800-511-3134 the number again is 1-800-511-3134 or press one to speak with the live agent.
    Listen to message
-Makes no sense why a company's "outsource Dept." would be calling you to handle a complaint for them, as thats what an outsource dept does, it finds someone to outsource their problems to.
-Who would they "report your noncompliance" to, since they have not provided anything to be compliant about?

Scammers like using word manipulation to trick you and hope you don't understand what it really means.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :
    • threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
    • Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
    • Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
    • Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
    • Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
    • Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Same 'ol SCAM. Today from a different #. Call today came from a pretend Chicago prefix - 312 - 800-8706. Caller one "David Morris" about "complaint filed in our office." Total bogus. I owe what I owe, and pay what I owe. As noted by previous complaints, the scary part is they know all my information. I was a victim of identity theft a few years ago, and I know my info is on the "dark web." I don't call these jags back, although it is kind of fun to harass them back. Call back # is 800-511-5134, but as noted, call came from pretend Chicago #.
