Yes, this is "Kansas Gas Service".

Kansas Gas Service - calling to say service will be shut off if you don't pay in 2 days.

I believe this caller is a scammer.  It says it is Kansas Gas Service.  The recording asks for the person specifically and says press 1 if you are that person and 2 if you can relay a message to that person.  The recording says a payment I made was returned to my bank.  Which is not true, as I see the payment went through on my account so I'm not sure what they are talking about.  I've received a call from Kansas Gas before and it wasn't from this number.  When I pressed 1 saying I was that person it gave me the option to press another number to make another payment immediately.  That won't be happening.  I hung up.  They've called 3 times today so far.

Kansas Gas Service would like to make our customers aware of a sophisticated consumer scam targeting utility customers.

The scam begins with a very realistic-sounding phone call to a utility customer warning of an overdue payment. There is a call-back number, and when that number is called, the consumer hears a greeting that is identical to the real greeting used by the utility company. The consumer is put in touch with a “customer service” person, who will request the last four digits of the customer’s account number, and for a credit card number. Real utilities will already have the account number, and any initial contact regarding past due accounts is done by mail.

This scam was reported in Oklahoma, but investigators believe they may try again elsewhere in the region.

It's too easy today to spoof caller ID. Most likely scammers impersonating Kansas Gas to get their credit card numbers. That's why they are known as phishers.

Just got a call from this number. Didn't bother to pick up~~I have everyone I know on different ring tones, leaving strangers calling in with the tone, "An idiot is trying to reach you on your cellular device..." It's a great reminder to be cautious. ;~)

They said my social security was terminated due to shady  activities. Then tried to get it
