A voicemail slammed into my phone this morning without ringing at 1121 MST from 323-289-6092 (probably spoofed) that indicates this 800 number as the call back number. Here's what the message said:
"Hey, how are you doing?  It's Tim calling back again with ABPS. Uh, we left you a couple messages, uh, a few weeks ago, uh, (they didn't) about the discount rate on your merchant account for your credit card processing.  Uh, not sure if you're aware of it, but there's there's (sic) a special program for mechanics which saves a ton of money.  Um, we're saving mechanics now more money than ever before, so if you want to get a quick review um, to lower your bill, give me a call back at 1-800-515-3635 (upward inflection).  Uh, if I'm busy, just ask for my assistant Roxanne, and then someone on my team can help you (upward inflection).  Uh, save you, you know, 10-20% on on (sic) your bill every month (upward inflection), no hidden fees, and again it's a special program for mechanics.  Alright, thanks.  Uh, and again it's 1-800-515-3635.  Thanks."  Total scam.  I love all of the "uhs" and "ums"...this guy put A LOT of thought into his shtick to make it sound like he's just a regular guy just trying to save you money and totally not trying to scam you.  The message delivery method alone is a huge red flag, a tactic scammers are using now to circumvent the laws against spam robocalling...it's not a "call" because your phone didn't ring, see?  His "assistant" Roxanne?  Priceless.  Do your homework, "Tim", I'm not even a mechanic.  Get bent, parasite.
    • Caller: "Tim", the merchant-services-provider-for-mechanics Anus from "ABPS"
