    There's a scam alart on City of Boston Federal Credit Union's website - I recieved a text message from this number stating my account was being closed (I do not nor ever had an account with them).  

    As written on the bank's official website :

    "Recently City of Boston Credit Union members and non-members have received fraudulent emails, text messages and voice messages that look and sound as if they are from the Credit Union.  These messages are NOT from City of Boston Credit Union.

    These messages have been in several forms including the following:

    Surveys with a cash reward if you enter your personal information,
    Implications that your account is in jeopardy of being closed or credit status unless you enter your information,
    A notice that we are updating our security enhancements, so please enter your personal information,
    Plus, many other schemes to entice people to enter their personal and confidential information.    "
