They mail propaganda and say they are trying to get in touch.  It sounded as if it was someone that knew me.  They said they have been trying to get a hold of me and said to call them at 1 800 523 6976.  The card came from New York,    The number traces down to 'life alert/New York office', and is just a bunch of propaganda.

My elderly father received a call from this number and  the salesperson even went so far as to set up a 3-way call with my wife, who has no authority to make this type of decision.  I think their primary goal of getting my fathers CC number.  Very slick crew, that I feel are preying on the elderly.

First Alert may be an 'okay" company, but I do not believe in the unethical nature of their salesmanship.

"Emily" left two voice messages for me (or a family member) to call this number (800) 523-6976 regarding my mother.  Her message conveyed a sense of urgency which raised a red flag.  Both messages were exactly the same. The calls were disconcerting to me which prompted me to further investigate the nature of these calls.  Thanks to the information I gleened from this site I don't feel the need to return the call.

I have been receiving calls from a New York number. Didn't answer any of them. I received this week a post card telling me they had been trying to reach me by phone, and asked me to call the 800 number, giving an exension and a name to ask for. (M. Dozier).  The postcard gives the impression that they are doing you a favor and you should be pleased to contact them. (I had recently asked for literature about Life Alert - which I did receive in the mail.)

I'm glad I checked online. If this is the sort of promotion they approve of, I don't  think I want their product.

I received a call saying they had a job for my husband regarding his application and needed him to call back at 800-523-6976. I told them that was funny because he had a job and had had it for quiet a few years and was not looking for another job. After hanging up I looked up the ph # and boy and I glad I did. I discovered this post, so I thought I would ad to it.

Simply buy a VERY LOUD and PIERCING whistle, answer their calls very softly and when they strain to hear you blow that darned whistle

I also got the same card. These people have worried the hell out of me. Calling EVERY day , sometimes 2 or 3 times. " Help  , I've fallen and CAN get up by myself ".Leave me alone !!!!!!!!!!!

scandalous sales reps!!! !Disgraceful smucks. Too much to go into now.  Do Not give them your or you loved ones business.  I was checking in to it for my parents who are both separated and far away. Now I,m worried more than ever about these criminally  unethical salespersons  tactics and obviously evil company.

I received and did not answer several calls from my cell & my work numbers and left me a message "This is Romney, I can be reached at 1-800-523-6976, THIS IS VERY ANNOYING, and I am glad to read all of your posts.  my best advise is "DO NOT ANSWER and DO NOT CALL THEM BACK"
