Claiming to be calling on behalf of direct t.v., stating they have a special. When i refused, i started receiving text messages from the same number calling me a b*tch

Calls quite a lot. Supposedly DirectTV, but it is a spoofed CallerId. If you call back, you either get a disconnected message on no answer. If you answer, you get a really obnoxious recording that tries to get you to buy vehicle repair insurance, road-side service, $100 gift certificates, and a slew of other nonsensical BS. ALL SCAMS!!!!!

OMG how awful.

Missed the call when I called them back I got the recording of out of service. I Blocked number.

Two calls this morning already.  Blocked.

Did not answer.  No voice message.  Blocked.

800-531-5001, 1st call from this number, let it go to voicemail, no message. Suspect spoofed number call center scam.

This number was the CID for a call back from DirecTV customer service.  Completely useless as a response, but an attempted valid call.

Attempted to call me twice in a row.  Comes up on caller I.D. as TOLL FREE CALL.  I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure you call into a toll free number, not out from one.  As such, I'm pretty sure this is a scam attempt.

Received a call from (800) 531-5001

CD displays: DIRECTV. No message left. Call reported to DNC website.

I received multiple calls with the numbers 800-531-5001 (twice) and 800-333-3474 (actually a spoofed number as this is DISH Networks phone number).  Same person claiming to be Shawn stating that due to repositioning of the DirecTV satellite that he needed to confirm my box information to keep from losing picture. Called DirecTV and they said that this was not coming from them and said no one called our number about our account! DO NOT ANSWER OR PROVIDE YOUR BOX DETAILS! Contact your customer service separately if you have doubts!
