I called them back to ask them to stop calling, but got a recording.  It says they have a few questions for me to see if I qualify for what they are offering.  First Question was "are you or someone in your home 50 yrs or older?" After that, I hung up and blocked the number

Says they were from direct TV and at&t and were offering a 50% discount off my bills. Told them I know they were a scam and to stop calling.

DTV does have a similar number. 1 (800) 531-5000 Is actually the official number.  I got a message yesterday but didn’t have a chance to call the direct number.

SCAM!  They use multiple similar phone numbers. They told me i could save lots on a Directv promotion.  I listened all the way through in order to get info, but did not call the "special" number to activate.  They asked me to buy a card from Ebay to provide them an up-front payment to get the discount.  I called Directv and ATT to ask them about this promotion, and they confirmed it was a scam.  I've received calls from them 3 times now.  Today, when I told the guy to remove me from their caller list because I know they're scammers, he told me many times to F*** off.

I got a call from them about this last year, and now they are bothering me again. Fortunately, I did contact Direct TV, who told me it was a scam. Annoying!
