Please return our call. This is not a sales call or a solicitation.

Left message saying it was imperative I call back today.  They said that they were open 8 until 10pm eastern time Monday thru Friday and they gave the times for Saturday and Sunday.  When I tried calling two days in a row, a voicemail answered without identifying the company and said they were closed to call back during normal work hours.

Left a message for me to call this number - said it was of a personal business matter.  I called number and someone answered "Hello" - and sounded sleepy -- so I just hung up.  They did not identify name of company or anything.  I will try again later b/c I hate sales calls and will tell them to take me off there list.  That I know of I am not delinquent on any of my bills so I do not think it is a call like that.

These people are from Card Services for Bank of America.  They love to just call when they think you haven't paid them.

Bank of America CC Card people. Not a big deal..just calling to tell you your payment is late or did not post.

Their message machine isvery weak and you can just bearly make out what their message is. I had to enhance the sound on the recording from the computer to hear the number correctly. Also.. yes, when they answer the phone a just says "Hello".

Call three or four times a day, at 7:45AM thru 9:30PM.  Message is to call 1-800 number.  Not a sales call.  How can this be stopped?  This is harassment of a different form.  Unable to block it due to "out of area".

    very annoyed!
Someone calls from this number saying this is neither a sales call nor solicitation, but to call back today.  When I call back during the hours they say to call back, they say to call back during normal business hours.  If you pick up the phone when they call, no one says anything, or sometimes you get the same recording they leave on the message machine.  Today, 10:00 AM on a Saturday monring, I stayed on the line, and then after about 2 or 3 minutes, someone came on and said "hello".  Turned out to be from Band of America Card Services.  I still don't know why they are calling after speaking with them!  We are making regular monthly payments on a card we have.

This company is Advanced Call Center Technologies.  The company contracts with several credit card holders to make collection arrangements and it is not the bank that you contract with.  They dont want to tell you their name because if they do, you hang up, call the bank and make an arrangement yourself; they lose comission!  This company must make the arrangement on the phone to get their comission and thus their refusal to identify themselves and harassing motivation telling anyone who answers that you must talk to them NOW.  In my experience, they performed illegal acts by initially failing to identify themselves, refusal to advise they were a debt collector, personal information disclosure to parties outside of the account and a refusal to provide a contact number.  It took about 20 minutes and repeated demand to speak with a manager before the company identified themselves.

This behavior gives me the advantage to document the issue with the Federal Trade Comission.  When I file a complaint, I get a case number and if the lender asks why I refused to speak on this date, I have a case number with an agency documenting the harassing complaints.  If they keep calling me, I can call the FTC back, tell them my case number and document every incident that they refuse to identify themselves.  This documents the harassment and identity refusal, all they have to defend thesmelves with is a tape recording of the call.

Collection agencies must identify themselves and identify themselves as a collector when they call.  They can't play the 20 question game with anyone who answers asking for information without identifying themselves; this is harassment.

for all others please check your rights and laws here: http://www.ag.ca.gov/consumers/general/collection_agencies10.htm#harassment

    Examples of your California Rights:

    Call Restrictions.
An agency may only call between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. If these hours are inconvenient for you, you may ask the agency to contact you at other times. When contacting some one other than the person who owes the debt, the collector must give his or her name but not the name of the collection agency (unless specifically asked to give that). When contacting the person who owes the debt, the collector must give either his or her name, or the name of the collection agency.

1-800-533-0231 has called from an unknown number and left several messages saying that it is imperitive that I call back the following number. When I confronted them with being fraudulent, they denied it. Asked to speak with a supervisor don't give name but was asking for overlimit charge on behalf of Bank of America. When I called BOA, they connected me the fraud department and asked me to file a police report with the local authorities. Also that I need to call and check on my credit report.

Sure am glad I read these notes before I had my daughter to call them.  They called my home today stating it was imperative they talk with my daughter today - matter was urgent.  I called back pretending to be my daughter and they asked for phone number where the original call was placed.  When I gave them my home number they could not find it in the system.  So if they can't find the phone number in their system then how did they call me?  They did talk with me briefly but said they could not discuss the matter with me since I was not the person they needed to talk with.  So glad I know they are representing BOA because I am a co-signer on the BOA and they are allowed to discuss with me.  But  I am not telling my daughter they called and I will call BOA tomorrow!!!  Thanks for the info.
