Advanta is a MasterCard for business.

Same deal, got a call from the number and it was silence for 30seconds so i hung up, then searched it.

Got the call. waited and it disconnected. From the comment above I noticed that I had made an online payment to the Advanta Credit Card the day before the call. May just be a coincidence.

Advanta Credit card is correct.  If you don't pay your payment (more than 30 days out) on time they like to call you and get a payment by phone.  I just wish they would do this _before_ I miss my payment.  They usually ring once in the morning and twice in the afternoon.

Just called 800-978-4581 and advised them that I was reporting them to the Attorney General in RI.  The messages they are leaving on people's machines are misleading and is a form a fraud.

Advanta Business calls multiple times a day, and is an automated dialing system.  Refuses to stop even when you ask them to.  Sometimes calls every half hour.

They call 20 times a day and I tell them Im sorry he is on vacation and they hang up and call right back!!!

When I get a call from a number that I don't recognize I don't answer it, instead I go immediately to Google and key in the number. If it is a collection or credit card company I save it with the contact name of "do not answer" It's incredible how many different numbers these comapnies use. I must have had 15 or more in the last 3 weeks. I get an unavailable number as well. No one except Cap One leaves a message saying that thay have opportunities available for me, I'll bet they do!!!
