This is a scam people. I have never done business with BOA, I have never owned a credit card through BOA. Hell, I even had to check on what BOA meant  ( Band of America ). Idiots! I don't owe these gut worms a dime. My credit score is 799, yes that's what it really is and I pay my bills! I simply NEVER answer my home phone when I see these numbers, hell, I don't even turn the ringer on! They always call my home phone, never the cell (thank God). If I don't recognize the name and/or number, I ain't talking to ya scumbag! Good luck gut worms! You gotta get up earlier than I do to pull that wool over my eyes!

Probably NOT a scam but they want your money.  If you have a credit card through or owe money to Bank of America they will hunt you down.  Used to be FIA card services but BofA bought 'em out.  MBNA seems to be the new owner and MBNA seems to be owned by BofA.  

If you owe BofA or one of it's cards any money, these folks want YOU!  Nobody else wants me so I suppose I should be grateful, but I'm not.

If they are calling you, you have an account at the FIA or MBNA Website.  You should check 'em out there.

Stop calling at odd hours. Dont call at all.

When I answer the call no one resounds and they keep calling. I read the other posts, but I don't even have a credit card

yeah, they call me on weekends too, they don't give up. I answered once and they asked who they were speaking with -- and I said you tell me and the guy stuttered ..

I have also received numerous calls from this number.  I asked why they are calling me, not leaving a message and then proceed to say that the only way I can find out why they are calling is to verify my personal info?!! I asked for another # and he said that I could call the number on the back of the credit card.  Perfect! So I called the number on the back, which isn't the number that called me.  I got ahold of someone and explained the situation.  She said that it WAS a fraud and Bank of America will always leave a message asking for you to call a specific number back.  Security reasons.  They will also never ask for you to verify your personal info to find out the reason for their call.  She did tell me if they call again, to give them a made up social (bday or address).  The BOA Customer Service woman's exact words "they will be extremely disappointed and will not call you back!"  Lol.

They 5 times a day every day at all hours of the day.   If you get this number calling you, I urge you to block their number.

They never leave a message on our phone, so it must not be important.

1-800-536-1584, calls my landline at least 4 times a day and never leaves a message. I have picked up the call and no one responds. Very annoying!

Do not call this number.  Harassment is against the law.  

1-800-536-1584 is a real credit card number. They called to find out when they are going to get a payment.

No one picks up.  The government can't find this out?  The NSA taps our calls and they can't do anything about this?

This is a valid #. They are a collection arm of BOA. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBNA. I missed a small part of my payment last month and assume that's why they are calling. However, I will not give any personal information to someone who calls me.

It's Bank of America. I am on their payment plan and the payment plan expired, so they were calling to renew the payment plan for my BOA credit card.  They'll work with you to set up an agreeable and doable payment plan.

They constantly call and then hang up.
Comes up toll free wiith the #.

I'm not late making payments, so I don't understand why they keep calling...but I was recently denied a credit increase on another card due to "collections," which I need to look into because I'm not aware of any bills going to collection.

The odd thing about this is that when I've answered, there has been NO response, it simply hangs up. When I let it go to voicemail, the message begins and ends "...security department..." Very strange.
