- Alan| 1 replyHi, whoever calls this number beware! These scumbag scammers are using the fact that Ebays help number which is 866-540-3229 is similar to the number they have taken out of 800-540-3229. If you accidentally dial 800 instead of 866 for this number you will end up with someone saying they are doing a promotion of Caribbean Cruises through Ebay and are trying to get your money and credit card information. Do not fall for it. These people are a disease to the rest of mankind which is struggling to make ends meet. Ruthless [***] ... I hope they get caught and are put in jail where they belong. AL
- MJust got the same thing.
They claim to be in partnership with Alamo.
They do a hard sell and try to get you to give up your credit card number - JohnI made the mistake of calling 1800 instead of 1866. I answered yes to wanting a cruise and yes to visiting florida, then it hung up. Am I safe? or was I scammed somehow?
- Ebay shopper| 1 replyHad to contact ebay customer service so I googled it and got 1800 540 3229. I got the ebay reps are busy and will send you a Walmart gift certificate if you send cash for processing. I hung up (no info given) but was shocked that the # was 1st on the google page. Reported it to ebay and hope no unsuspecting person falls for it. Google needs to rectify the wrong phone #.

- Passedthispopquiz replies to Ebay shopperEBay's customer service # is 1-800...These guys are 1-866...I suspect that you will find the google # is a 1-866 and these credit card fraudsters are 1-800 followed by the rest of google's number.

- Jan| 1 replyI called EBay customer service and got a very very pushy woman. She already knew my address which scares the daylights out of me. She told me eBay was giving me a 100.00 gift card. Then she asked me for my credit card . I said no and she got really really mad. She said it was a one time fee. I said no and she argued with me. I hung up. She really screamed and got nasty. I’m worried they have my address.

- B-Edwards replies to JanThat was not EBay. I am curious to know how you happened to call that number. Did you get an email or voicemail asking you to call?
I wouldn't worry too much if "They" have your number. I am guessing "They" do. And so do the North Korean, the Russians and the Chi-Coms and none of them have been dropping by for milk and cookies, right? - Justin BMade the mistake of calling bc this number came up first when googling ebay customer service they wanted my credit card information then when I refused and said I paid through paypal he said no he wanted the card number I refused he started yelling saying he wanted the number, man im not a little guy either if I could find this POS I would break him in half... slowly... make sure you dial 866 not 1800
