let phone ring at least 20 times i did not answer to a 800 numer

Got a call from them and they demanded that I pay them $108. Asked it what it was for and all they said was a purchase I made. I did a little research and they were correct, I did owe them the $108 and agreed to pay it. Seems thay had been sending the bill to an address I lived at 15 years ago and when I didn't respond they turned it over for collection, Funny if they ahd contacted me at the address the products were shipped I would have paid they months ago, never got a bill. Now it shows up as a charge off and effects my credit. After being a customer with JC Penny's for 35 years this is how they treat customers?

May be you should have called and found out what happened to the bill and made payments right away. You guys just take cards charge on it and forget about it?? You remember to charge on the cards but always forget to pay back.

Got a message to call this number but was told by a representative that they had no information on me

??...maybe jc penny should of called Jim first instead of going to a collection agency,especially since hes been a customer for over 25 years

Do not know why JCP would be calling...checked and my account is current if it is JCP.

Got a call 2 days ago.  Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer it.  If it is Penney's, don't know why they would be calling.  They left no message.

A telemarketer trying to "lower my credit card interest rate" told me this was the number they call when they verify your VISA account.  However, consider that these telemarketers hire virtual criminals, I doubted the veracity of that.

Just got a call from this number. It was JC Penny but when I tried to inquire about my balance it was zero. No idea why I got the call.

I received an Email saying to call this number about my JC Penny Credit Card. I cancelled this card months go.

Called me but left no message. I have never had an account at Penny's and have only been in one of their stores about 3 times in my life. Pretty sure this is a scam from someone using the Penny's 800 number and probably trying to get people to pay bogus balances or to get credit card information.

They called me on my cell phone and I did not answer.  I called them back from a work number.  The prompts were asking me for my JCPenney's card #, I plugged a bunch of random #'s in, and then it prompted me to provide my social security # which I did not provide.  I finally got a "customer service rep" who hung up on me when I told her I haven't had a JCPenny's card in about 20 years!  SCAM - BEWARE!

Received a call from this spoofed number congratulating me for my eligibility to lower my credit card payments. A ubiquitous scam.

They called. Left no message. I don't have a JC Penney credit card. I've never had a JC Penny credit card.
So what's the deal? JC Penney just trying to harass people for the fun of it?

Definitely a scam.  I haven't shopped at JC Penney for over 3 decades.

They High Jacked JCPenny's phone number to SPAM call you. It the same VISA card SCAM that's been going around a long, long time, it's not Penny's calling, this fraudulent company is using their (JCP) Phone number illegally. Ask them to tell you your info, they can't.

Scam call from someone pretending to be from jc penney, they have spoofed their number for phishing.
My phone company flagged this number as it came in as a scam or fruad number.

Just got a call from them, never had credit card and never will.
