Calling from a 500-000-0000 number, Creditors Exchange left messages with my neighbors for me to call 800-545-2596 about a bill I owed. I returned their call and was shifted between four or five people and 800 numbers (800-421-2110 for one)and was told my balance of $5,800. had been turned over to them and I could pay $11,763.36 "hardship settlement" immediately. After hours and many threats I gave them an e-check for $900.and was told I had to pay $6,158. in 30-days and they would settle. Now, one week later, the dirtballs are waking me up at 8:00 a.m. and leaving voice messages to "remind" me of my debt.  What can I do? I don't have this kind of money, my husband is disabled, and I can't afford and attorney.

The call comes in,on my cell phone, as 500-000-0000 so I can't return the call. When I answer I'm told their call-back number is 800-545-2596 and I owe a credit card company and it has to be paid in-full NOW. They had left messages with my neighbors telling them it was a debt that was due today, gave them an ID number, etc.  Is this legal? Now my neighbors think I owe this debt that I'm not paying. He calls all hours, I have no address, he just wants all the money now or he'll charge me an extra $5,000. What can I do to pay without being harrassed and them demanding money I don't have?
I don't have money to afford an attorney.

This so-called collection company is driving me crazy. They've phoned my neighbors and gave me all the info regarding my debt. I actually owe Chase credit card company and was paying them monthly when this guy, MR. R___, can't understand his last name, came on the scene demanding $5,000. more than I actually owe.I've contacted the FDCPA and the home office of this idiot at Creditors Exchange but have had no response. MR.R won't give me a postal or e-mail address.  Do you happen to have their e-mail address? I need help.

Called my place of employment this morning stating to coworkers it was in regard to the Montgomery County Court & it was urgent that I be reached ASAP.
A coworker called me at home to relay the message & when I returned the call I found out it was a collection agency.  I called the call-back extension number left for me(x3721), but only got through to someone else's voicemail box.  Finally reached a real human who would NOT identify the company or it's purpose for calling me(and asking my to call back!).Was transferred to the person who "allegedly" made the original call to my office who was rude & flippant because I did not want to give him ANY of my personal info.

Yeah i got the call too.  What little I know about the outfit puts them in my book as a strong arm of the creditor with Capitol One.  No phone call yet to my place of work since, well I didn't have a job until very recently.  I called back wanting to know when the demand letter was sent out.  I claimed a hardship and also wanting the demand letter to show MY attorny.  This clown would not stop talking about all this money he wanted so I hung up (bad conversation anyway).  My own debt settlement folks almost described word for word the scare tactics he used.  Also I don't have an Attorney.....

A human called this time. I called back and they hung up me when I asked to speak to the person (he said his name was Mr. Gilbert).  I called back and they said they would take my number off hteir records.  I asked for her name and his name (two calls) and they hung up me.  My beeped because of a low battery and she panicked and thought it was being taped and yelled at me and hung up.

well got another call today from a so called "David Quashee" (they use crummy fake names)
as usual the caller I.D says 500-000-0000 and told me to call him back at this # 1800-545-2596 ext3540...every week its the same story of a "call or else" kinda thing...usually other team members say to call 1877-770-6335 (search this # here for more details) but today was differant..his "shpeel" sayd "this is not a solicitation and very important i get in contact with him today" and "avoids my deliberate refusal from being documented here"...
luckily im going to transfer all the saved messages i have from this company for evidence of harrasment..they had these "final warnings" every other day but yet seem to call back more and more desperate..

Received calls back-to-back from 500-000-0000 - a lady at extension 4035 states,"she is very easy to get along with" and "I was the only person who did not respond to the phone call about the docket that was sent to her office this week".  She does not state her name or the company name and persists in stating that this is not a soliciation call.  I reported them to the FCC.

I have been receiving calls from this company for months!  I decide ok I am going to call and see what's up!  I offer a payment and they refuse!  I finally get someone to tell me how they accept payments and its OF COURSE by direct withdrawl yea right!  Well I decided to "Harass"  them a little and call them several times to see if I keep getting the same answer!  This seems a little fishy to me!  I am going to call the company the bill originated with and see what's up.  If anyone has any info that will help please contact me!  Thanks

This so called collection agency, Interchange, called neighbors and family members and told them I was in a "pickle" and in "trouble" and other ridiculous things. This company called my job 15 times a day, which is illegal, since it was a government phone number.

I had made payment arrangements with "chase" for August. Some idiot, named Chris called on a Saturday in July and stated the money had to be taken out now. I told him he couldn't take the money out now as it was not in the account. Because of what they did, I had over $350.00 in charges from my bank, almost stranded in Florida (live in Ohio). They really pissed me off. Do they think I'm going to pay when they conduct themselves like this? They are violating FDCPA laws and hope they get busted.
