It is a call dialer used by the Special Olympics.  I suspect if you answer the call, the number is logged in the call center and someone will try and personally reach you.

I think that it is rude that they hang up after a couple rings before you can even answer. They have called almost every day for two weeks. You can call them back at 866-544-4880 to be removed from their list. The call is to offer a magazine subscription where the profits benefit Special Olympics.

This number calls me and leaves a very annoying tone on the answering machine, but no message.

They called and when I answered, there was no person on the line.  Instead I got a recording saying it was the Special Olympics making a telemarketing call and they'd call back in a few days. I tried to call them back to tell them to take me off their list, and I got another recording telling me to call a different number.  I called that number, and requested to be taken off.

I was special olympics.  They don't want a donation this year, instead a magazine subscription.  They will spend all day listing over 300 magazines if you let them.

Caller stated it was not a call for donations but "just wanted a minute of my time". In the past I have been plagued with requests for donations so I declined to talk.

What makes you think it is Special Olympics?  They just need your charge card number to send you the subscription.  I find it hard to believe a reputable charity would do the call and hang up routine, and not be willing to leave a message.

Very nice young man asked lots of questions about when I am typically at home, when I leave to walk my dog, when I go to church, when my next long vacation is planned.  Nice to see someone is thinking about me.  He mentioned that my front porch light is broken.  Will have to get Jimmy with his ladder to fix it.

      I did call 1-866-544-4880 and asked to be removed from the call list, the lady that answered was very polite, and assured me that my number would be removed.

They call and call, never give up.

did u tell him where your spare key was to get in? sounds as if you gave him all he needed to ramsack your house while you are gone. be more carful and don't give strangers all that information. not very smart!

I am on the national do not call list but this number has been calling me and never leaving a message.

Once I found out this was the Special Olympics I blocked the number. Since then I have gotten four calls from that number. I can check to see which blocked callers kept calling. Well Special Olympics is one of them. Why would some one keep calling a number that tells you , that you are blocked. How do you expect to get thru.
