If you've ever been dooped to enroll in Kaplan University Online, then that is why you're getting a call. I got a text ad from this number offering to completely forgive or have payments reduced due to law suits being filed against Kaplan. I won't be calling it though because that is something I can do with my loan provider.

This number is NOW safe (it wasn't before). The number has been purchased by a resume writing business as of 4/22/2020. Unfortunately, as shown here, it had been used by a previous organization for various loan-related schemes. That is no longer the case.

I take it you've never heard of phone number spoofing? It doesn't matter the number was purchased by a "safe" company. Scammers frequently spoof legitimate phone numbers.
By the way, do you often look up known phone numbers?
