I receive a call from this number everyday of the week.  I have asked to be taken off their list but to no avail.  Now I don't answer it.

1st time they called, said the were a survey company, called shortly after and said they were homeland security.
whatever.

They have called every day for about two weeks on my work line.  Every time I pick up to answer, I would get an automated "please hold for the next operator" message. And that's when I hang up...

But today they picked up before I could hand up and found out who was calling:

Someone looking to update my records for "Homeland Security Today" magazine, to which I do not subscribe. They then gave me a name and address that was not mine. At this point they said that's not a problem and that if I just give them my information they could help me out - without even asking if I was interested.  I told them I wasn't.

She then wanted my Department Head's information, and decided that wasn't in my best interest.

They called me to confirm my name & title for a health data magazine.  They call me every year and I receive the magazine for free (actually good info).
