800-572-1317

To get your number placed on their “Do Not Call” list call this number (800-572-1332). It works! Don’t waste your time trying to contact anyone else.

"We apologize for the delay.  We are calling on behalf of our client regarding a publication.  "  After a 90 second delay, the next associate picked up the line and asked for an employee by name. They are calling to renew a trade publication, free subscription to qualified manufacturers.  The periodical is RESPONSE (http://www.responsemagazine.com/ Phone: 800-371-6897, 714-338-6700) although the calling party is only representing them. This periodical is owned by Questex Media

Questex has markets of: Entertainment, Travel, Natural Resources, Landscape and Building, Info and Document Management, Design and Engineering, Communications Tech, Beauty and Wellness, Small Business, Hotel and Hospitality, Marketing, Abilities.  They also have a division that sells lists and database, for direct mail, phone and email. Looks like their free magazine program was a ploy or guise to get my confidential profile and contact to then sell to others.

Finally got a live person and they said they were from "Inbound Logistics" a trade magazine.  They said they had me down as receiving this publication (which I don't in WI but my corp office in CA might.)  So I asked them to remove me from the mailing.
