Yes this number is qwest repair department.

Called pre recorded message of a repair scheduled for 11-12:30 PM Friday.
Did not call but called back to see if it was the phone company.
The prerecorded message was a xxx recording I hung up the phone and am reporting it to do not call complaint.

It's just the Qwest/CenturyLink robot calling to inform me that new service that *I DID ORDER* was all set and ready to use.  They also invited me to call with questions.  Simple courtesy call, not spam.  It would be nice if they would put their name on the CallerID so it's not just some apparent random 800#.

I just got a cell phone call from that number but there was no message (zero seconds).  I did call the number and it is now a Centruy Link number (Century Link did buy Qwest recently).  Prior to getting this call, I did request service on my land line (intermittent dial tone and noise on the line) and no doubt the call to me was legitimate telling me the problem was fixed.

I got this call from 1-800-573-1311 saying it was Century Link reporting the change to my service was completed and ready to use. They said if I had questions to call 1-800-573-1811.  Since I did not order any changes to my Century Link account I called back to the 1-800-573-1811 and it was a long message about me winning a Bahama Cruise. I was told to press 1 if I wanted the cruise and press 2 to be transferred to a representative if I did not want the cruise.  I pressed 2 and after another long message asking if I really did not want the cruise to press 2 again to talk to a representative.  I pressed 2 again and the line went dead.  I then called Century Link customer service at the number on my phone bill and they did not know anything about any changes to my account or any Bahama Cruise promotions.  When I asked to talk to someone about Century Link promotions they transferred my call to the Century Link Help Desk.  They told me the call was a scam from a Jamaican scam outfit that can make their calls appear to come from some legitimate number, and if you call the number they give you they keep you on the line for a long time and charge thousands of dollars per minute, even though the 800 number is supposedly toll free. The Century Link Help Desk blocked all the known numbers they have for this type of account for me and said I would not be liable to pay the charges to the Jamaican scammer.  So if you have any similar experience with this or any other telephone number, call your phone company to report it immediately.  If you wait until you get your phone bill the sad thing is they are obligated to collect those charges for the scammers.  As for me, I am not answering any more numbers I don't recognize, I will just let the answering machine record any messages.  Most scammers won't leave a message.

Received a call today from 800-573-1311 - this is the Repair Service number on the Century Link phone/internet service bill.  This recoded call was in response to a service ticket opened today, confirming an appt.

Our land line is fax only although there is one phone hooked up. Every week or two I check the fax log, "Google" the numbers and block almost all. I takes care of repeat offenders.

This number is from Centry Link Tel Repair Service calling to confirm tel repairman visit tomorror to repair tel service . Century Link had no caller ID with this number so I also didn't answer but they left a message that it was Century Link

This call came from Century Link as a reminder of an appointment for telephone service for tomorrow.  I DID call Century Link earlier this afternoon, and they set up an appointment.  It was an automated voice...and did take a bit of a time to "kick in", but it was a LEGITIMATE CALL FROM CENTURY LINK.

This number is Century Link repair. Letting me know my repair was complete.

Legit call from CenturyLink.  Test call I think for new services.

CenturyLink automated call confirming an appointment for repair.

Have called four times this evening, so far, without leaving a VM, and I ignored all their calls, suspecting it was a scam call.  The CID looks like Century Link's repair number.  Someone else commented here four years ago, that it's foreign scammers.  That would make sense, and that means the number is spoofed.  I feel better now, and wish I could thank that person who left that helpful comment years ago.
