For months I've been receiving calls to call this number, stating it's not a telemarketing call , and asks me to refer a certain reference number.(618830223).
Who are they, and why are they calling me constantly when my number is on the no call list?

I have also been getting calls from this number for a couple of months.  When the number on the caller ID  is redialed it says its disconnected/out of order.  I have not called the number they give because I figure it is a scam.  Even when I was home to answer the call it was an automated call stating to call this number.  Who are they?

I'm getting the same to call 1-800-605-5739. The call comes from 704-671-3096 ("Private Name" on the caller ID). Anyone know what gives?

When I called the 800 number, I was greeted by a not overly polite woman answering the phone as "Park Danson/Dansan (sp?)". She couldn't tell me what it was about without the reference number. I thanked her, and hung up. Less than a minute later, the woman called me back, asking for a woman I've never heard of (I have had the same number for 5+ years)

A quick google on Park Dansan pulls up what seems to be a collection service?

It's a collection agency trying to reach someone who, at one time or another, had your number.  Just call them back with your reference number and they will stop calling you. Not a scam... a legitimate collection agency.  If its not you they are trying to reach then you have nothing to fear!

Just received a call from them too (2nd time this week). Very weird. It has ALL the symptoms of a scam. If indeed this is a collection agency (trying to reach the wrong person), then they are doing it wrong.

Then again, what would one expect from people working for a collection agency?

Recorded message claiming NOT to be a telemarketer. Provided reference number and advised to call 800-605-5739. Caller ID displayed "704-671-3096 Blocked Call". I did not respond.

If this is a legitimate call from that "do not fear collection agency", why then discrapncy between the two numbers?

It is a scam.

I had 2 messages from them. Called, & when they answered,it was Park Dansan. I explained that I had a private number & I wanted to know why they were calling. The rep. put me on hold for a minute, then came back & said the name of the person they were trying to contact. I explained I wasn't that person & asked to have the number removed. She said not a problem & apologized. Not a scam, just a collection agency contacting old phone numbers.

Called the number, gave my reference number when asked, and as a few have mentioned already, they were trying to get in touch with someone else.  They answer the phone by their business name and request the ref number they left.  She thanked me and removed me from the phone list.

Annoying yes, but I personally believe it was legit.  I think that with the no call list they'd be in a bit of trouble by now if they were making calls deemed illegal. They probably called me 20-30 times before I actually made the call.  /shrug

Automatic message wants you to return call to 1-800-605-5739 and also expects you to take down a way too long reference#.

Hold music was a radio station advertising "Blue Ridge Harley Davidson" Dealership: this Park Dansan office is probably local to Hickory, NC.

Donna (with a horrible southern accent) claimed she was from Park Dansan / Business Management Group.  Questioning her about what her type of "Business" they "managed" put her on the defensive and she hung up on me.

it sounds like a collection agency.  i called the 800# back, automated system identified them as park dansan.  gave them the reference number, the person said he was trying to reach the name of a person i never heard of.  told him as much, and he said "ok, we'll remove your number from the system."  there's pretty strict laws across all 50 states that collectors are supposed to abide by.  this isn't the first collection call i've received on this # and the others were similar (ask for a particular person, told wrong #, never heard from again).

I find it weird that when people call back they say it's a call for someone else.  Is it really old accounts, a scam to collect valid numbers or the posters aren't truth that they have a collection agency calling them?

They are a collection agency real number is 800-605-5739.  The 704-671-3096 number is in fact a fradulent number.  However, you can get to a real person by hitting "0" then leaving a message to stop calling you.  Following the directions to send the message.  Afterwards hit "*T" and enter "300" that is a man named John Luther...the owner of Park Manson Collections.

I had been getting the same call ever since we got the new number. I called up and gave the reference number. They were looking for someone who I had no clue about. The lady on the phone was curteous and after I said that I did not know the person in question, said that they will take this number off their list. It wasn't bad and I hope that I do not get the call again. If you do not have to worry about a collection agency, call the number up and sort this out.

not a call but i got a post card in the mail telling me to call  1-800-605-9822 to collect my $50.00 redemption voucher. My fiance got one in the mail the same day too.

I also received a card in the mail for a $50.00 Redemption Voucher with this "collection agency" number on it.

If that doesn't scream SCAM to you people who believe its just a collection agency, I don't know what would. The same number is on here: 1-800-605-9822
