- AngelineWell now that I know it is SBC calling , I do owe 65 on a bill , but at least say something and leave a message or even a recorded message. That would ease the annoyance.
- Caller: Unknown Name

- RossiCall came from Texas to Kansas at 0957 hours on 10-16-08. Not answered and caller ID only said "Out Of Area. Others indicate this is ATT Accounts Receivable.
- Caller: ATT A/R
- Gary MCalls every morning. No one speaks.
- ConsumerConstant calls from 800-616-1171 when no bill is due. It is abusive and harassing. We pay extra fee for non-listing number, but AT&T feels free to harass.
- Caller: AT&T?

- gg replies to Tootieyou should wait till they get on the phone(computerized system) and tell them who you are and that youve never had service with them
- SusieThey call and don't leave a message. They start calling on the day the bill is due and the payment is sitting in another office in another state from which this office is and they call and call and leave no message and then finally when they leave a message it is just a recording so you get no real person and your payment is sitting in another office waiting to be credited to your account.

- JoFunny I just received a call from this number and they did leave a message on my answering machine. They left who it was and the number to return a call to them at which was a toll free number. True there name does not appear on caller id but they do respond when you call back as well. There is no 99cent charge to call them back, they do not refer to another number. Some people like to blow things out of proportion. They are calling in regard to a past due account. They do have the right to call you as they are a service provider and deserve payment for services provided. Just pick up the phone and talk to them. They were very accomadating to making arrangements on my past due balance. I was treated with respect and courtesy by the agent I spoke with. Treat them with respect and you will get respect back.

- datbatcatcalls all the time who are you?
- Tim| 1 replyThis is indeed AT&T! Ironically, they begin calling even before the bill has arrived in the mail! I guess with all the competion they have these days they are desperate to get their money. They don't messages, they call before 8 in the morning and late in the evening. I'm getting put out with them.
- Caller: AT&T
- KyokoJust call everday. No company name or anything left behind.
- PowerPostI have gotten this call a couple times in the last few months 800-616-1171. It is in fact AT&T accounting/credit recorded message that "they have not seen a payment & your account is in some jeopardy". Annoying that they do not leave a message if you don't answer, but I do have an AT&T land line & I have, in fact, been behind each time they have called. (but I do pay my bills, so this is not a harassing BS collector - it is more of a rmeinder message). I am an independent 1099 contractor, & I promise, I am not a collector or bill person, so I have no ties to AT&T. If you do not have an account with them, or are not that person, I would pick it up one time, get the call back number & call the 800# to let them know "wrong number" or you are not that person.
Please don't post on here "this is a BS number" if you do not know exactly what it is or have not called them back to verify the info. I do get my fair share of BS calls & look to your all's input on these numbers, but this is not one of them. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CALL, HOWEVER, UNTIL YOU GET IT WORKED OUT OR CALL THEM TO LET THEM KNOW "WRONG NUMBER" - BrandyI answered the call. It was AT&T wanting me to participate in an automated survey about how satisfied I was about a recent service call. Not about paying your bill.
- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Survey
- Wondering???I called the number back and I got a voicemail. Female saying, "Call me back." No AT&T survey. I wish it was a survey. Now, I freaked out.
- Caller: Toll free call
- TonyaWAT&T Accounts Recieveable Center. Not a threatning call just wanting customers to pay a past due bill.
- Caller: AT&T
- bobijoI just received another call from this number. PLEASE STOP CALLING MY NUMBER!!!

- DeeI have ATT home phone. I got a recorded call this morning from this number and it said my service is going to be terminated for a late bill. It said if I wanted to talk to someone, call the number back. I redialed the number and got a message that I would be charged $9.95 service fee for the site. I hung up.
I called back at the 800 288 2020 number and in a period of 2 1/2 hours and six calls, nothing was resolved. They knew nothing about the overcharge of $110 plus tax on my bill.
They have billed my account $110.00 for a service technician coming out to my home on Feb 14th. Only thing is, NO ONE came to my house from ATT. I guess its my word against theirs. I told them that if they disconnect my phone for a charge that I have disputed, then they will lose my business.
I got another call from this number at about noon. I answered the phone and got a dial tone. I called it back and was answered by someone in India. I asked to speak to billing. He transferred me to another person. Her name was Kathryn. It was so pleasant to speak to someone with good english and that sounded like she knew what she was talking about.
She said she would credit my account and all would be well.
We'll see.
I am not a fan of AT&T....- Caller: ATT

- ImasnaThismcompany is an alledged grant company that says you qualify for a gov't grant but they have to get you to send the, 150 dollars to begin the qualification process BUT they have already stated you EARNED it for paying your bills on time. Then they further try to hook you by saying that once you are qualified you have to pay them 10% of the amount of the grant. in a few days they will call back from a different number stating they got you qualified for 8000dollars. it is a scam YOU gave them 950 of your hard earned dollars for NOTHING if you try to call back they hang up on you, curse you out threaten to have the police come to your house for harassing them!! REPORT these people to the police in your area and call your local FBI they will give you a number to file a report with as they are working to shut these people down they givemA Mercian names but barely speak English!

- JPThis is AT&T for a passed due account, which happens because they have NO clue what services you have. They call on weekends, and then when you ask for the business office it is closed. I got my bill yesterday and will call tomorrow but to call on a Sunday is a bunch of BS if you can't pay your bill to them anyway. I also believe that companies by Federal Law are required to display or announce who they are at the onset of the call or they are violating the Fair Debt Collection Act.

- janet replies to TimThe very day my bill arrived (no past due amount, only current charges) I started getting phone calls twice a day. As pitiful as the service is and has been a chronic problem for years with multiple complaints to Public Utility Commissioner ATT can just keep calling (and I won't answer) and I will pay the current charges at the time the bill is due, at the end of this month!
