False purchase on amazon card scam.

Here’s what I received:

Alert! You have charged $1,049.00 against Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-54-760S Gaming Laptop, Windows 10 (If Not You) Please Call Amazon Security Team 8006201541

Scam! Amazon doesn't follow up on orders, they simply process them.

I received this exact same message. The first thing I did was check my amazon account and my bank account. Nothing amiss. Figured it's a scam to get us to call and give out personal info.

I got this exact same message and called the number. It sounded legit and the woman only asked me for the tracking number "PH315-54-760S" and said she would cancel the order. She didn't ask me any personal info. Does anyone know what these people are up to?

Did you give her access to your computer or phone?  This is absolutely not "legit".  Amazon takes the order and processes it and then ships it out as long as the card is good.  They don't call you or email you about it.

I sure hope not. There were some weird texts that popped up on my phone at 4 in the morning though and I didn't test anyone at that time I was asleep. They were sent to the last person I had actually texted.

Within the last 2 to 3 weeks I have been getting emails regarding my Amazon & PayPal.  It finally prompt me to call.  I ask what Company I am calling; they confirm; I explain the email & they go into a song & dance how I am obligated to pay charges

I received the exact same message.  Checked all my accounts, everything was fine.  Know it was a scam.  Blocked them
