- HARASSED!| 10 repliesGot a call from 800-624-6021 claiming they were from Microsoft (*would not give me name of his company) and tried to sell me plan to service my Microsoft problems. Told me I'm not interested, but they just kept on call me anyway, one person in particular, Daniel, keeps calling me trying to get me let me into my computer and sell me a service plan. There is also someone else claiming to be from Microsoft Maintenance (NIAS E BUSINESS SOLUTION) who kept harassing me and wore me down because every time they called they kept saying my computer was about to crash and not being computer savy I let him into my computer and was pushed into buying a service plan at $210.00 before they would take care of the viruses in the computer. They did nothing and they refused to give me their phone number or a receipt for my money, the name of the people the contract is with etc. They called me one time after that and I asked for my money back, they got very angry and told me their Finance Manager would call me back about refund and he never did. I only found out they were from NIAS because it showed up on my charge statement. I am having my bank dispute the charge, but it looks like eventually I will have lost $210.00 - live and learn the hard way.
- Cathy replies to HARASSED!| 4 repliesHad the exact same thing happen to my sister. Her credit card blocked them and she canceled the card. Do you think they are still able to get into your computer??
- Tomb| 6 repliesJust got worked over by NAIS e-Business Soultion. Exactly like what happened to HARRASSED. They called me on the phone (knew my last name) and stated they were from Microsoft Maintenance and said my computer was going to crash. Turns out they had called a week prior to this and my nephew hung up on them.
I was considering having some irritating issues taken care of on my computer soon anyways. So when they called and said that they were Microsoft Maintainance and they were going to fix my computer and they just needed to get access to it and they would fix it for me...they even knew the problems I was having....strange isn't it? I thought they were from Microsoft and allowed them to take over my computer remotely. After working on it about 15-20 minutes, all of a sudden I get told that I need to make them a payment of $139 and they would then complete fixing everything and I would have security through them and that I do not need any type of antivirus because they would take care of it all from now on...for a service period of 3 years. This service period would cover all of the households computers & laptops no matter how many I had with this one payment.
English was broken real badly. Guy on the phone said that his name was Edward Petterson (couldn't even pronounce his own last name) and computer screen was showing that the "TECH" that was working on my computer his name was PETER PARKER! By the time these red flags were popping up they were already in my computer and were telling me that if they got out without fixing the problem that my computer would crash suddenly and surely.
They did nothing to fix my computer. I watched what they were doing on the monitor. They did a 100% full audit of my CPU and everything it has ever processed. They ran a Defrag program, and shortly after my payment cleared they shut my computer down without letting the Defrag process complete! They said that this Maintenance Process would take their tech about 2 hrs to complete and to just go away from the computer and come back in about 2hrs and it will all be done. Ten minutes after making payment my computer was shut down in the middle of a Defrag. I seen them select SHUT COMPUTER DOWN!
My bank can't get their Fraud Dept. involved because I granted them access to my account...even though they fraudulently said they were from Microsoft. So my only recourse is to dispute the charges as they didn't provide the service that they sold me. We'll see how this goes. They also wanted me to access my email account so that they could "CLEAN IT UP TOO..." This I refused.
This is causing me a bunch of compounded problems right now. I'll have to get them all fixed and my computer too. They also said that they were changing my IP address...don't know how they were going to do that.
You ever get cold called with a scam like this, simply tell the caller to send you some information in the mail...if they are a real company then maybe they will.
Funny...Spider Man was my favorite Super Hero when I was growing up...now I'd like to put him in a reverse naked choke and make him tap!

- Tomb 2| 1 replyExactly the same thing happened to me with the way this company scams, first they ring on the phone saying that they are Micro soft technicians they are going to help fix all the problems, but need you to turn your computer on, ha, that's when they get access, fooling you into putting all your personal bank details into the computer and more monies for added security- I paid £149.00 for two years, but on the computer it showed in U S dollars $239.35 bells stared to ring.( I really don,t like putting my details on the internet ) firstly after filling in the pay form the bank declined payment, man was still on the phone promoting me through all this, told him this and then he said it dos,not matter they will carry on anyway and will ring back. computer keep on going through but stooped shortly. Bank informed me of transfer on my account but after checking out NIAS BUSINESS SOLUTION, cause my bank let me know who they where. I had to stop payment and cancelled my card so can they see every thing on my computer?

- Maggi replies to Tomb| 2 repliesGot the same call a week or so ago and again this am, half asleep and thought it must be the real deal so got on the computer and took the bait for the 5 year plan but my cc would not go thru. They did the same go ahead and leave your computer and we will fix it and call again Monday am to get payment. Well I googled them, found these notes and cancelled the credit card and will turn off the computer Monday morning. Did anyone ever say if they can still get access to the computer?? Sorry you weren't so lucky to get away without paying. Lessons learned by all. We need to be so on the lookout these days.
- Eric| 1 replyI'm an IT guy and here's my question out to those who have been affected: My in-laws got hit with the same situation.
Are you folks on a complete internet-phone package with AT&T? If so, I'm thinking they got hacked. I'm still trying to solve the how they had both pieces of information. The only thing I can come up with is they hit their customer base and since it's the same device that provides phone and internet, they had to have full access within AT&T's infrastructure (ISP in my scenario...hopefully my theory isn't correct).
Please post on here your provider to help some troubleshooting...it may be a bigger level problem than "random calling"- Caller: Nias e business solutions
- Sandy replies to EricThis isn't the service provider as we are the owner and the user of 800-624-6021 and we are getting lot many calls from different customers, different regions and mostly all of them have different service provider such as we got email from a U.K based customer scammed by Nias e-business solutions. This fraud organization is continuously scamming customers (randomly picked) and providing our toll free to get support. We are taking legal steps however,we cannot stop these scam calls but still we are trying to spread this information as much as we can.If anyone gets a call from Nias please don't encourage them also call 1-800-624-6021 to CYBERCOOLIES technical supportor log onto www.cybercoolies.com for further information.
