ROBO called our office for credit card processing. They try to sound like they are your existing processor calling to help you because the rates are "changing".

Robo Call - Fake .

Left a message stating my merchant service fees would be going up.  When I returned call the woman was unable to tell me what they were currently charging me for and wanted me to send her a bank statement.

Robo call not identifying any specific financial entity, but trying to phish us to call them back to avoid an increase in merchant banking fees. Calling from 800 628-1568

This number called me after 10pm at night, didn't leave a message!  I thought telemarketers/scammers weren't to call after 9pm?

Telemarketers yes, but what makes you think scammers care about breaking the law?

Left threatening voicemail that if I fail to respond then I automatically accept higher rates. Rave on, cat sh*ts because I use Square and their rates aren't changing... Robo-dipsh*t also claimed to have sent "correspondence" that I did not respond to - nope, you did not. This is also my "final" notice -- I wish! If it is my final notice, then why do they call twice a week!? Oh right, ITS A SCAM.

So....Square changed their rates in December and are proposing another change in October.   Ooops,

That's why they didn't leave a message.

I also got the automated message.  You can tell it is a scammer because they never say what company they are from.  Legitimate businesses will say their name up front.

There was a recorded message on the voicemail system where I work about "merchant fees changing" and needing to review this.  The place where I work does not deal with credit card or debit card payments in any way, so this is a fake call.  The message was left at 9:10pm.
