They tried to pretend that they are Southern California Edison. they are scammer

The pretended to be from Southern California Edison. The said the technician was already en route to turn off the electricity. They said it was because they needed to install a new fuse box and if the fuse boxes weren't stalled by tomorrow then we wouldn't be able to get electricity. The amount was for a down payment or something. They had the address but did not give me to account number although she wanted me to give her the account number in order to "verify" it. Total scam

Got a call from this number today: 800-628-2608 and said they were from SCE and that they were installing a new meter box at our business building. If we didn't pay them $400.98 by end of business today, our power would be turned off. I know for a fact that SCE does NOT service the location. So I've called the fraud department for SCE as well as SDG&E to notify them of this scam. My next call is to the local police in the area.
