Received a call from this number and found that it is legitimate from our alarm system company.  A motion detector in our home detected our dog moving around and called the numbers they had on file.

Calling in the middle of the night -- first time at 1:30 a.m., and another time at 2:00 a.m. I don't answer, why would I?  But am up remainder of the night.

I am receiving these phone calls at all hours of the night -- 11:00 p.m., 2:30 a.m. 3:30 a.m., 5:30 a.m. Called Central Station. I called back once at 6 a.m. and got a voice! Told them to remove my number, where they stupid idiots? Actually, they must be -- or can't read and tell time. Would like to get an injunction against these people for sure. Should be fine and put out of business, legitimate or not.

Thanks for posting this...we just got a call from this number.... and I googled it...I was about to BLOCK it, when my home phone also rang...I answered.....we are listed as a contact for a friend's house alarm should something happen while they are away.  Police were dispatched -- says window broken upper floor ....and we contacted the homeowner....so, thankful that all happened in the right order before I just  arbitrarily blocked the #  ....we completely forgot that we are on other's lists to be contacted -- so thank you for this post, much appreciated!!

It's a third party monitoring station that monitors for your dealer. They handle all alarms by making calls. If you don't have a home security system, then some one you know listed you as a representative on there account. Perhaps some one you care about. If you don't want to be bothered any more then ask the operator politely and say you no longer want me be associated with the account.

I get calls from here if my store opens earlier than the usual time, or later than usual. It's the alarm monitoring company. Legitimate. I don't believe they do any soliciting of any kind.

Received a call from 'Central Station' at 11:45 PM at night...asking for a person who didn't live there. And if I knew the whereabouts of this particular person. I called the FCC next morning to complain about this 'Alarm Company'

I was in the same situation. They should have my name and instead of asking me if I was my friend, particularly when they could pronounce the name correctly. It was confusing.

For me it was the cabelas credit card service who wanted me to know if I had done 3 recent purchases. I called the number back and it not a fake, they had info that no one else would know even if they knew my name.

It is Cabelas Visa verifying transactions.
Call them back and they have an automated system so you can verify recent transactions.
They only call if they detect a transaction they pick up that may be fraud.

This is an alarm monitoring company that handles residential and commercial alarms. They don't do soliciting calls; they only call the numbers listed on various accounts in the event an alarm goes off. So if you're getting a call at 3am, they're not trying to sell you something. Your neighbor, friend or family member listed you as an emergency contact. Instead of complaining that you want to sue or whatever, simply ask that they remove your number should they ever call. There have been many times where they called and I was able to alert a relative that their vacation home had an alarm go off.

COPS is the name of the central station for the alarm system I have. I received a call in the wee hours one time when the battery in the front door's sensor was dying so that I could contact the installer and get it replaced. Wish they could have waited to a reasonable hour, but by then I might have left the house. Better to know than not to know I guess despite the wee hour alert.

I received a call from this number.  It is a central station alarm monitoring company. I called the number back and was told that an alarm sounded at a friend's house and that the police were called.  I was told that the company monitors for several difference alarm companies.  I saved the number in my phone for future reference.

This is an alarm monitoring company.  We have SimpliSafe and received an email from them that they had not received the weekly test signal from our base station.  I went through the steps to reset the base station and this company called to let us know they had received the test signals.  Completely legit call for us.

Spoofed number. Thats the number for an alarm company monitor but its not the actual number where the call is originating from. Has called me several times about my residence has a front door ajar. This time i played along and said yes someones breaking in please send the police. Well no police have shown up yet. Also this time they tried to get names and social security numbers for ppl that live here. Theyre phising fishing scammers. The guy above that said theyre an alarm compny is either one of them or he simply doesnt know what hes talking about.
