Caller Wanted to speake with an employee about a personal business

Received a call from 1-800-641-6700 looking a relative of my husbands, they also discussed with me in detail why they were looking my husbands relative.  The person calling told me 3 different stories about where he was calling from but now I know that this number belongs to Westlake Financial Services.  Correct me if I am not right but doesn't that violate the privacy act????

I was listed as a "relative reference" by 2 people I don't even know according to this company. They called my cell phone repeatedly insisting I contact the individuals. I told them I don't know them. They called me a liar and kept calling and asking when my last contact with them was. VERY ANNOYING!!!!

My daughter just bought a car from one of those little rinky dink car lots.  We did lots of research with the Better Business Bureau etc. and found out that the financing this company uses is Westlake Financial and they have an "F" rating with the BBB.

These people have called me repeatedly ever since I moved on March 3rd. They leave messages for someone whose insurance policy is about to expire however that is what they said 6 weeks ago and now they are giving a different date. I didn't want anyone to lose their coverage because they didn't receive the message, so I called and told these people that they had the wrong number. I have called them 4 times but this seems to provoke them to call me even more often. Yesterday a message was left by them that was unintelligible. Today I actually answered the call but it was a recording at the other end. I am ready to call this harrassment. I am suspicious of these people, particularly in light of the posts I have read.

I receive at least one call from this number every day since 3 weeks ago. When I pick-up the phone and then hang-up without talking they keep calling back until I don't pick up and then they leave message. I never answer a phone call if I don't know who is calling.

Been receiving calls from their collection department because a family member listed us as a reference without asking or telling us.  At first was nice asking them not to call back.  But the calls continue and get ruder with every message and I have been told 'to bad we will keep calling', 'we will remove your number', and even hung up on because 'I should not be rude' to them.  If I knew how to contact the family member I would tell them how but I don't because they owe us money too!

they use other phone numbers to so be aware they disguise where they are calling from by piggy backing on local phone numbers in your area. I found this out by mistake, they called my number and actually left message on machine but before i checked message i called the local number and it was an older gentleman. Asked him if he had just called my phone number and he said no and i explained to him that i just got a call from this no. you may want to know someone is using your number to call people with. So be warned. 323 is another one they use.

they called me to trying to find a relative of my husband.  The scum that i spoke to was absolutly the rudest person and should not be working in any form of person to person field.  Apparently all he can find work for is to harass others.  I'm thinking about filing a complaint with the Attorney General.

This number belongs to Westlake Financial Services. I have filed consumer complaints with the following government agencies about this company and Hollywood Auto Broker in Los Angeles, Ca. If you or anyone you know continues to receive annoying telephone calls, and are being THREATENED, by Westlake Financial, then please alert the following in your State; The
State Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission (FTC),Department of Motor Vehicles (Hollywood Auto Broker, sells cars with replacement parts from JUNKYARDS AND SALVAGED DEALERS), and too, consult (if you have a LEMON) WITH AN ATTORNEY. My caller this morning, did not leave a message, because,I have reported to the agencies above, as to the RANCOROUS TONE of the call(s). By the way, I am fighting the finance company and the auto dealer, about my vehicle, that was TAMPERED with, in order to pass my States 'TEST ONLY INSPECTION' PRIOR TO MY PURCHASING A CAR. I HAVE ALSO FOUND, THAT VARIOUS PARTS ON THE CAR, WERE 'TAPED' AND 'SEALED' AS NOT TO DISCLOSE DAMAGE. If you are in Los Angeles, California, PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH MR. RAKSHAN HAMZEH AND HIS STAFF (HOLLYWOOD AUTO BROKER)THESE PEOPLE ARE AS LOW AS ONE CAN GET.

I actually have had no problems w them they have been very nice.

Funny... they keep calling me looking for someone I don't even know.  I have never answered the phone always goes to V/M.  I thought about calling them back, but then thought again.  That would only stir the pot I think.

Each time they call it's a different person w/a different extension.  Of course the person leaving the message isnt the greatest of people.  Always saying I HAVE to call them back, I NEED to call them back, this MATTER NEEDS TAKEN CARE OF... etc.

called 6/24 and 6/25/09. Very rude. Keeps calling for a relative. I asked caller to identify himself and his company. Asked for me, I told him I would not identify myself until he told me who he was. This went back and forth several times. I hung up. He called back said he would just keep calling. Shows up as private on caller id

I havent had any problems with them....for those of you with an account with them..are you paying your payment on time?  This is a subprime lender for car loans for people with bad credit.  I'm not supportive of threats or rudnesss..but if you pay them on time they wont be calling you at all...as for looking for people you dont know..you have a valid complaint.

My car note is due on the 15th I ALWAYS pay on the 20th (PAYDAY) from the 16 until the 20th I receive very rude messages and excessive calls and one guy keeps leaving me messages like "Grow up and pay your bill." "Stop playing games" they even called my employer who supported me and used profanity to them. Keep in mind my employment is a HUGE non-profit so you already know this was sent to their attonerys. I have had this account for 18 months can't these idots see the consitancy of my payments..

Got a call on my cell from RESTRICTED. Person left a voicemail stating they wanted to talk to ME regarding a decision on (3rd party, relative) truck. The caller left a number (800-641-6700 x3269). Not calling back, not my problem, but am letting third party relative know they've called. He says he returns their calls, but I don't know that he has.

OMG!! That's Westlake for you. I use to work for them but not for the collections department and they are the rudest people. They call you everyday no matter what. If you have caller id DONT ANSWER them. Thats my advice to you. Because once you answer and give them your name or your time they will keep bugging you over and over again!!! ANNOYING PEOPLE!! All they want is to hit there GOALS for the month..
