my microsoft key has expired & it is an emergency

Just got this call - My Microsoft key has expired.

emergency call, my microsoft license has expired!!  I did not pick up, they left this message to give them a call at 800 642 2818 today, 2/20/17    don't think I'll be calling back,

Scam

Computerized woman's voice haltingly left this message:  'This is an emergency call to notify you that the license key of your Microsoft Windows has expired and all Microsoft services has been stopped on your computer.  To renew the license key call the toll-free number.'

What a crock.  Unfortunately there will be a lot of people who will fall for this scam.  Again, this is a SCAM!

Same as everyone else, female computerized voice left the following message "Soft services has been stopped on your computer to renew license key, please call toll free +1-800-642-2818. This is an emergency call to notify you that the license key of your Microsoft windows is expired to renew license key, please call toll free 1-800-642-2818."  An obvious scam that too many people will fall for.

The phone rang and rang and rang like it was important. Not your ordinary scammer robo call. But scam it is. A nice virus may await those who heed their prompt. Maybe ransomware.

This is a total scam.  I wish there was something that the state's attorney general's office could do something about these calls that are meant only to take people's hard-earned money.  Don't fall for this BS.

Same as everybody else. Microsoft scam message. Blocked their number. It seems like it's a new number they're using because all the posts here seem to be from today and around the same time. Mine was today too, 2/20/2017 at 3:33 pm central time.

Same message - please share with family and friends.  This is a SCAM.  Love the whistle idea, but choose not to engage either way.
