"Toll Free Call"

Another "toll free call"  Didn't answer, didn't leave a message.

Call from a male, asking for my husband by name..when I told him hubby was at work..he hung up laughing

This call is so annoying, they called us at 8:15 on a week day morning then they called on Sunday morning as well. They are pusing it. I think it is the American Veterns of WW II Fundraiser and they won't quite! ANNOYING as HECK!!!

This number called several times-weekdays, weekends, daytime, evenings.  There was no response when I answered.  Finally after 3 weeks or so of this going on, a man asked for my husband.  I told him he was not available and to take our name off this list.  It was very annoying!
It remains to be seen whether or not we get more calls from this number.

they called at 1:34 today. i picked up and a lady was talking to someone else. i said hello several times and she asked for mrs. ME, but mispronounced my last name. i asked who she was and she said something tht sounded like AMVA. i asked her to take us off her call list and she said, "SURE," so am fairly confident that we will now be bombarded with calls from them.

Rcvd call 1633 pm, saw caller id, didn't pickup, they didnt lve message.

Got a call at 12:44 pm on a Saturday. Heard "This is the" then it disconnected.

I called the number back and it said I'd reached the automated system for AMVETS, the American Veterans. Said I was probably calling because it was a number displayed on my phone (which it was), and it said it was sorry for an inconvenience. They were calling for support for current community programs, and for further information call 1-800-327-4302. That center is staffed 9am-9pm Eastern Time.
I called that number and it was a recording that gave a menu, and the last thing it said was about the do not call list - press 9 to be added to that list. Then it said that company will not call for any of its clients unless you have a prior business relationship with, and it may take several days for the number to be removed from the list. It had also said that if it said private or wasn't recognized on my caller ID then I didn't fit the requirements to be added to the DNC list. My caller ID said "unavailable" but it worked anyways.

Caller doesn't leave any messages. Please block or discourage them from calling again

WIll call weekends early in the morning and late in evening.  There has to be a law for harrassing calls on Sundays.

Get lots of calls from this number.  We have started pushing "# # # # #" as many times as we can.  Read somewhere that this messes up their machine but can't say for sure...

Repeated calls, sometimes two and three a day, nearly every day!

I returned the call using the 800 number from caller ID. An automated answering system said to call 1 800 327 4302. Another automated system led me to a DO NOT CALL selection. Maybe this will stop the calls?

I get several calls from this number a week. Finallt today, I read these posts, andtook the advice of dialing the customer service number to take us off the list. It is in fact the veterans association.

Well about 6 weeks ago I put for the do not call list with this number 800-650-3839.  And their still calling me 6 and 7 times a day!  Annoying!  This last time they called I wasn't so nice, so maybe they'll get the point.  They are not always calling between 9 am to 9 pm eastern time.  I live on the east coast and their also calling at 1 am and 6 am in the mornings also.

When my answering machine picks up , I can hear what sounds like someone driving along. They always wait to see if someone will pick up.  This morning i heard someone say "nope no answer" and hang up.  this is the 3rd call i know of. I can get very rude so i have not picked up . You would think that after a few times Some People would take the hint .

We have been receiving calls from this number for weeks. They call all hours of the day, including 7am on a Saturday morning! I have called back, gone through the selections to remove our number from their list - and they keep calling. We are on the DNC list, but I think that 501 c (3)s are exempt from this, so their calling is annoying, but not illegal. I got so tired of this that I tracked down the home number of the national director and left a very polite message asking to be removed from the list, as we do not have the inclination or money to donate to them. I hoped being called at home would help, but it doesn't ... we're still getting multiple calls a day!! VERY ANNOYING! I come from a military family, but this makes me extremely disinclined to donate to Amvets, ever.

Just got a call from this number about 5 minutes ago.  There was no one there when I answered.  Very annoying!  We are on the DNC list.
