Called cell phone. Rang once and disconnected.

Did not answer, rang once and went straight to voice mail.  They left a message claiming to have info on one of my registered vehicles concerning a safety recall.  Too generic,  sounds like a scam.

REceived call from this number on my cell and was told this was about a registered vehicle w/potential road hazard safety recall.

barely rang and went to voicemail. calling about safety recall - wanting you to call them back.

Called informing me I had a safety recall on my car and to call them back. Called back got ahold of guy Named Matt. Told me to try and pretty much buy new car coverage for a warranty. Once I told them that my could care less and would like to ram our car into a tree to total it he rushed me off the phone. It is a scam do not answer I just like to have fun to make them stop calling.

Got half a ring and it went to voicemail. When I played the message there was a strange noise then a girl said "Thank you for calling the recall center, My name is Kelly, how can I help you."  Then it disconnected.

Same generic voicemail to call 800-705-5388 (cross-posted complaint) re vehicle safety recall. Mailbox info said call came from 800-650-5911. Obviously not calling the number.
For those complaining they don't give their phone number to anyone, thank computerized sequential auto-dialers for your call... (They dial: 555-555-0001, 555-555-0002, etc) Yes, humans can dial numbers sequentially, or randomly, too. But, it's not as cost-effective for organized scammers.

Got a voicemail from this number but it was so broken up and garbled I couldn't understand one word of it.

Same as everyone above- rang for about 1 second and disconnected and left me a VM about a safety recall on my "registered vehicle." Asked me to call back (800) 705-5388 for more information. The only reason I thought this would be legit is because a recall on my airbags was just released but I'm waiting for the parts to come in so I can replace them. Message seemed very vague though.

Be forewarned.  My husband has sold luxury vehicles for 13 years. These "after market" companies are SCAMS trying to sell you an "extended warranty" but try to imply they are with the maker of the model you are driving!  Don't buy into it. Hang up.

So what does this have to do with your husband?

Left an automated voicemail on my cell phone claiming it was about a safety recall on a vehicle I own, Not going to call back after reading others' comments here. And I've never heard of a car manufacturer calling about recalls. They always mail them.

Don't respond or answer.  Robotic voice said they are the NHTSA calling you for your vehicle for recall.

Calls everyday since I searched for insurance on healthcare.gov. It is a nuisance. Advise you block.
