Called my work stating there was unusual activity with my account. Have no idea who or what this is. Named themselves as First National Services. Anyone know who this is or what they do?

They are a collection agency for a payday loan service.  He told our receptionist that he was calling from First National and the message he left me was from pay day loan yes.....

I just got a call from them and stating that I need to call them for a debt that I owe and said that if I don't call I can be penalized. It would affect my credit and my employment. What should I do?

Caller said his name was Andrew Thompson from Fast Cash and stated that before he would give me his number he wanted to ask what kind of person would not pay their bills.  That he had been calling my references and calling me repeatedly to no avail and that my references were getting upset with him and that he would CONTINUE to call my work unless I made payment arrangements to pay a bill.  He said that his friends surely wouldn't want a friend like me...someone who did not pay their bills.  He said to grow up and be responsible.

Then he said that I needed to call him TODAY, Monday, 4/27/09, or else.  His number was listed as (800) 654-7444 ext. 843.

I have contacted my attorney and given the above information to him and have asked for an appt. to make the calls stop.

Someone by name of Dwight Clark keeps calling my place of employment and today said that I have 2 days to call 800-654-7444 ext 842 and they also call being rude saying they are First National as well.  He mentioned that if I don't call within 48 hours that a summon will be sent out. I have paid them off and have copies of it and provided that information to them and they still say I owe.  Can they actual send a summons to my home?? I called and left two messages, but he calls back with the same message as if I never called. Then the third time he called, he called me by a name that is not even my name. Not sure if he meant to leave the message for someone else this time. I am confused. I don't want to be harrassed at work or home, but I don't want to like get arrested either for something I didn't do and a loan I paid off via credit and it showed up as Heritage Marketing.

Can you shed some light?

So what has happened since then?  Has this company taken action against you?

We have been receiving calls from this number for several weeks asking for one of our employees.  When we tell them that we do not accept personal calls for our employees and that they need to take us off the call list they get very rude.  After the 10th call I asked for a supervisor he (Mark) told me that they would call every 20 minutes if that would cause the person they were looking for to get fired! Smart! How is someone going to pay if he doesn't have a job.  Received a call again today from Rashanda ext 841. We have also talked to Julia, Karen & Sarena.  Does anyone know how can we stop the harassing calls.

They've also called from 800.550.6051.  I just received a call stating that if I don't call back today, they are going to call my employer.  Can they do that?  Isn't that illegal?  If there is someone online reading this now, who knows the answer to my questions or can direct me to the laws governing this type of collection 'threat' please post asap.  I owe the loan, but I called them when I got sick and was off work for three weeks and knew the payment wouldn't be there for them to collect.  But they didn't want to work with me at the time.  Now they want to get nasty and threaten.
Please let me know what I can do immediately to stop them from involving my employer, who has nothing to do with my personal business. Thanks

I got a call too saying he was from First National Services. Saying I owed money from FAST CASH which I paid off a few months ago. He said to call back 1800-654-7444 ext 614 So i called FAST CASH and they said I paid it off and these SCAMMERS are breaking into payday loan databases and saying the consumers need to pay it or they will take it to court and have the wages garnished from your check! Ignore it! SCAMMERS!!! Get a freakin life!

I know this is a bit late then most of the posts but maybe someone will see this and it will cause them a little less heartache.
DO NOT call these people back OR answer their calls. They are trying to scare you into thinking they are a legit. They ARE NOT! I got one of these calls when I was a bit younger. It freaked me out and I called my dad crying. He said to never call back a number like that becase once you call them, they are going to try and "get you." He told me to ignore them and I did and they eventually go away.(We happened to be in the military at the time and we also went to our base lawyer. He said they weren't legit and to give them his number and tell them to stop calling) If you see a number that you don't recognize, just wait until you can get to a computer and punch the number into google. Then you will have an idea if the number is legit. They are just trying to scare you. Most of you here are probably in your 20's. That's when they did it to me.
They are doing it to my daughter's friend. She returned the call and they started harrassing her, telling her she needed to pay by the next day or there would be a warrant for her arrest. You will recieve papers in the mail from any credit company if they wanted you to pay back any money owed for anything. These people are just running a scam.

I paid off Pay day loan yes back in early July 2010 and now out of the blue they are calling my employer....i contacted them again and they deny ever receiving payment. They asked me if I had a payoff letter from them and of course i dont b/c they never send those out....and asked who i spoke with, which of course I dont know...it was a few months ago that I spoke with them last...and they are saying I owe $300+ and I dont.  It was all paid in full.  The company shows up as Heritage Marketing on my bank statement.  Not sure what i'll do at this point, i'm WAITING for their manager to call me back...if he doesnt in a couple hours, i'll call him again...if they dont resolve this...I'll have my attorney call them.  The number that contacted me was 800-654-7444 X. 836....was a lady named Debra who after I pressured her too much b/c i already paid, she referred me to her manager.

Getting a lot of calls from this number. I never pick up. I know it's a scammer. I've been getting scam calls, due to the fact of getting scammed in June '2010.
Everyone beware. You can also file an online internet complaint at www.toogoodtobetrue.com - I have several complaints there myself.
These people are based out of India, and somehow someway they get USA area codes and just start dialing. Be careful!

I received a call from a Jerome Maxwell from National...800.654.7444 ext. 833...Stated I owe them a loan and that I am going to jail.  It's unfortunate because I have received several of these calls at my work and it's just a bummer that my colleagues look at me like I am crazy.  Its a scam and I have reported it to the FTC...

Here's a new twist on these people's scam.  Out of the blue I receive an email saying they have an issue with my phone number and that I am eligible for a new loan.  The company advertising is cashloan.us.  I Googled the name of the company, and then I Googled the callback number for their generous offer.  Bingo!  It's the same people who have been harassing me for months with a different phone number.

They called my place of employment and told a fellow employee that they wanted him to give me the message to call back in regards to the pending court case against me......

Not sure what to do...I had an ex that was caught taking loans out in my name and now I don't know how to protect myself from being sued...Any suggestions?
