Fake quicken support number, is a scam. Will charge $349 and leave malware on your PC.

I used the same phone number (800-655-5733) two days ago when one of my accounts failed to download bank transactions. I tried to fix the problem several times with no success and it was too late to call the regular phone support number. I was told that my data file was corrupted and the only way to repair it was to buy a "support contract". I was suspicious because I'd never been asked to pay for Quicken support before, but I decided to comply. After 90 minutes on the phone, I had signed a contract and been given a new "Quicken ID#" with Josh Consulting. Afterwards I looked up Quicken online and read that "Quicken support is always FREE". When I called the phone # Josh Consulting gave me it rang for several minutes with no answer. I contacted them the next day & made it clear that I intended to cancel the contract and dispute the payment if they tried to process it. Federal & (most) State laws include a "3 Day Right to Cancel" or "Right of Rescission" which is available online for situations such as this. My biggest concern is what they learned by sharing my MacBook screen, not the $199 I paid. Cyberspace can be dangerous!

3 Days Ago I called 1800-655-5733 as I looked up this number online for quicken help when I call the tech name mark answered the call and illiterate person don't know how to speak English after sharing my computer screen he just ran few scans on my computer and told me that I will be charged $349.99 I refused to pay . Then I disconnected the phone and he deleted all my data and Quicken . So beware of these scammers they can do anything for money.

The same thing happened with me as well they ask me to pay $199.99

Looks like we have TWO Indian shills who are badmouthing crooks in their own country. Posts were a minute  apart - how convenient!!

i also went for scam with mark he charged me 289.99 USD but i called my card company to cancel charge .
