Home Depot HVAC protection hotline. We purchased a HVAC unit from them

I received a call at 10:55 PM. I fumbled for the phone in the dark and could not believe the guy said Home Depot..

I have been receiving calls every day from this number 800-656-1154. They never leave a message and their name is blocked from the caller id. I goggle search the number to find it was this company. The calls vary from the morning and continue until pass 9 pm at night even weekends. I do not answer calls I do not know.  What I do know is it is illegal to harass people. It is illegal to block business information on the caller id and due to its practice of hiding its identity on caller id, this company is in violation of federal regulations. Specifically, 16 CFR, Section 310.4, part 7(Abusive telemarketing acts or practices), which states: Failing to transmit or cause to be transmitted the telephone number, and, when made available by the telemarketer's carrier, the name of the telemarketer, to any caller identification service in use by a recipient of a telemarketing call; provided that it shall not be a violation to substitute (for the name and phone number used in, or billed for, making the call) the name of the seller or charitable organization on behalf of which a telemarketing call is placed, and the seller's or charitable organization's customer or donor service telephone number, which is answered during regular business hours. Either leave a message to why you are calling or stop calling.

I wish I had googled this number much earlier. These nuissance calls started October 2009 both to my home and cell phone numbers, and there would be no message. About a month later, I finally decided to answer it, and it was Home Depot trying to sell me insurance on an appliance I bought through them; I refused. Since then, the calls have intensified. Today alone, within a spate of five hours, I received eight calls on my cell phone - no message, nothing, even on the two occasions I picked it up to tell the caller off - it was just total silence. I have had enough. Imagine my surprise when  I found out the number of complaints against this number/Home Depot  

What I want to know is who will call these people to order? This is sheer harassement and it has got to stop; they should be fined like the obscenity fines on TV/radios.   In the meantime, I suggest what we can do beyond posting these complaints and mount a campaign agasinst Home Depot - boycott their stores untill this harassement stops. I am starting with my local right away.
