Also appeared as a missed call on my cell.

This is a scam in which they tell you your MasterCard has been put on hold and they require a bunch of information.
They ask for account number, expiration, 3-digit code, zip code and social security number.
You guys are fortunate it was a "missed" call. For us, we had just lost my husbands wallet 2 days prior and assumed it was in connection with that so we went ahead and gave them what they asked for.
As soon as we hung up we were suspicious and called the number back to no answer.
Since then we've closed our accounts, called Lifelock who fortunately we are already members, and just filed an identity theft affidavit with the IRS. Later that afternoon, messages on my Iphone wallet started coming showing declined purchase attempt on the CC (we had already closed thank God).
Tonight we're going to file our Income Tax so they don't beat us to our refund...hopefully it isn't too late because the IRS takes 180 Days...yes...6 months if you can believe it, to respond to the Form 14039 I just faxed.

Sounded like an computer left a message asking me to push a number to reactivate my mastercard.  I called back, no answer.  Called me twice already.  I'm calling SCAM on this one.  

Definite scam! I got a message saying my MasterCard account was locked and needed to enter information... I don't have MasterCard!! Do not enter info!

Scam. Its a recording saying that your credit card has been locked

Recorded message said my credit card locked - was driving so didnt continue call when it said it was transferring me. When I called back once I reached destination it just rang and self disconnected.  Have no idea what this was about but does seem like it was a phishing call. Don't give them info.

Calling back unknown numbers without checking them first can have bad consequences. 800 notes is full of stories of people who called back unknown numbers, and wish they didn't.

Did not recognize number so I let it go to voicemail on my cell -- no msg left.
