- Annoyed| 1 replyAfter telling an Indian caller this morning that I do not know her so she is not my friend and I am buying nothing and on the do not call list and that it's illegal for her to be calling me, I have received 5 phone calls playing a recording from this number insisting it's an emergency call from Windows and I need to call them back. No. Just no.

- TOR| 2 repliesI received the same "Microsoft Expiration" this morning. I laughed so hard I almost expired!
FYI: Over a year ago I turned off my home phone ringer and so now all calls go directly to an answering machine. Neighbors, business associates, and relatives know darn well they need to leave (or begin) a message and if we are home we'll usually answer after a few seconds. This time the scammer did leave a message, so on hearing it, I was able to write down their number and check it out here on 800notes.com to see who else forgot to pay tribute to Master Gates.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks in this country who fall for such nonsense or the callers would not be calling. Perhaps if phone provider companies weren't so eager to make a profit off of foreign "marketers" we wouldn't be so bombarded by scammers. Surely with all the spy tools available these days, we could easily find who's behind all these mass calls. Maybe we should all tweet the Donald and suggest he put some effort into keeping illegal foreign phony phoners from coming into this country. Seems there are more of them than bomb clad terrorists...- Caller: recording

- AnonScammers, plying the "Windows will be cancelled" SCAM. Such disgusting pigs. *(called back using *67 to block my number and thick accented Indian answered claiming to be "Microsoft" LOL!) Don't fall for these idiots...
- Caller: Indians R Us...
- Call type: Telemarketer
- annoyed replies to TORThe phone companies need to be held responsible for these scammers, as you said if they weren't so eager to make money they wouldn't be selling phones and phone #'s to scammers and illegal businesses. We pay a lot of money for our phone services and these companies need to put a stop to these damned scammers.

- ctgSame deal, they left a message saying my Windows license was about to expire! What a load of B.S.! So now I've been calling them back periodically and when one of the guys answer, I have a portable air horn that I let them listen to. I think I'm starting to piss them off! Feels good to get a little payback against scumbag scammers.
- Caller: Microsoft, yeah right!
