Fraudulent fake debt collector attempting 'to identify' clients by SSN. All call routing options are automated with attempts to gain address or SSN. Mailing address is a PO Box in Simi Valley, CA also with a fax (805 area code).

Just hang up, another fraud trying to sell your personal info.

Thank you for checking that out. I thought it was odd when someone saying they were Bank of America called saying they wanted to talk with me about collecting a debt and needed the last 4 digits of my SSN. I told them I was unaware of any debt and that the bank would have my SSN if they had loaned me money. The woman said that she needed to identify me and asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN again. I asked for a return number and when I Googled it, I saw your post. You've confirmed my suspicion. You rock!

I am continuously getting calls from 800-669-0120 number. I picked up first time it has recorded message asking me to wait for important message I hang up immediately. I am not picking up the phone any more but that number is calling me 2-3 times a day and not leaving any message.

I have a mortgage with Bank of America.  I have been in and out of the hospital twice this year and have fallen behind on my payments.  I have been 30 days late several times, get caught up and fall behind again.  Once the account is two weeks late, I receive a call from this number. I don't think it is actually Bank of America but the BAC Home Loans Servicing Co. that Bank of American use.  Hence, by law, they must inform you that they are a debt collector.  I have spoken with them several times and found them to be very pleasant. You just have to let them know when you will be making the payment and why you were late.  They ask the standard questions, which does include the last four #s of your SS# for verification purposes, but just the last four numbers. If you have a mortgage, loan or credit card with Bank of America, and you are late on your payment, you really shoud speak with them about it. .

On the other hand, if you are dead beat and want to avoid them, don't answer the phone and wait for the legal papers to hit:)  But, these are reasonable people and it would be to your advantage to keep the lines of communication open with them, if in fact you are a debtor.

I keep getting phone calls from this number, I used caller ID to call it and it claims to be from Bank of America and I do have them for my mortgage however I am not late on my mortgage and never have been. So with that said if it was important they would leave a message and not hang up.

No phone calls but a plain brown envelope hanging from my door knob saying ( in both English and Spanish) important information inclosed. Opened it and this phone number was hand written in.

Caller ID only showed "L2" ... but I did talk to a live person, with heavy foreign accent... said she was US Mortgage Savings.. told her to never call again..  (wishful thinking) .. but I have never had one that had a caller ID like that.. have seen "Unknown", etc.    I have a BofA credit card that I haven't used in years but never any mortgage or anything.   Never had any dealings with US Mortgage Savings and never heard of them.
