Got a phone call from a this number at 8:50 am this morning - message was left on answer machine from a Frank Peterman, but he would not say who he wanted to speak to and what account it was about. I know it must be a collection agency, but who?

I received 2 phone calls from a Frank Peterman at this number with a message saying they are calling about my account, but didn't say what account he was calling about. When I called the number back, they used my phone number to tap into my cell phone account.  They told me I owed $1,500 on the account.  On another phone line I got my cell carrier on the phone to verify that I do not owe them any money.  I let the person on the line know this.  She became very hostile telling me that collections would be after me within 24 hours.  She refused to give me any additional information about the account. I told her that I was calling the police and if this was fraudulent activity it would be taken care of shortly. She immediately hung up the phone.

I get a phone call from Frank Peterman just about everyday and he says the he wants to speak to me about my account and it is very important that I call him back at 1-800-669-4534 and then a female voice comes on the line and leaves Reference # I guess for me to give them. I have told the company to take my name off their list several times, but they continue to call my house. They never tell you who it is that they want to talk to etc. I am sick and tired of them calling my house everyday. What can we do about this?

WHO IS FRANK PETERMAN?

I just called the 1-800-669-4534 and it is a company by the name of SCO AMERICAN- A DEBT COLLECTION COMPANY.

I put in the reference # left by the female voice after Frank Peterman's message and got an operator, She ask for someone named Karen. I told her that no one by that name lived here nor had ever lived here and that she wanted to knwo how I got the reference number and I told her. The lady that she was looking for (Karen) was from Philly, PA and I live in Odessa, TX.  So someone has been giving my number out or they  have gotten my number mixed up by mistake.

I also get phone calls about every other day from Frank Peterman. He says its very important that he talk to me about my account.  Never a mention of what account or whom he represents.  Also never mentions my or my husband's name.

I got the same non descript message regarding debt collection. Considering I have no debt to speak of. When I called them they were calling for someone else, ive had the same cell number for like 15 years +. They kept asking for my  name and I wouldnt give it to them, I told them perhaps the person they are looking for died I have no idea, but to please delete this number from their system.  Ive had debt calls for this same person for years now, sometimes I get a call once a week sometimes I dont hear the name for 6+ months. Horrible and I have no idea how to get it to stop for good.  I dont want to change my cell phone #.

I received this same call today from Frank Peterson saying I must call him back immedialety regarding my account. I have no debt, nothing in collections, how can I stop these calls?

Same as everyone else. I keep getting this call. I never pick up but they never wait to let my voice mail finish to start with what they are saying. And when it is repeated, he never says where he is from and what account. That tells me there's something fishy because all real & other collection debt companies I've worked with, wait until the voice mail is done then starts in on their message.

Every other day I receive a voicemail from this person on my home telephone number. How do I get it to stop?
