- JP| 2 repliesApparently a debt collection agency, google brings up nothing on the number, and they keep bugging me to check on my account. The thing is, I've never used any loan service but somehow i'm in their database.
When you call them back, they ask you to sign in with your account number (which I don't have), or the borrower's SSN, which i'm sure as hell not giving out to these guys. I can't even get to an operator without giving my SSN.- Call type: Debt collector
- None replies to JPIts Countrywide home loans - your payment is late. The account number is the loan account number.
- annoyed replies to JPI have had the same happen to me.

- Marcia GrayReceived a message to call 1-800-669-4578; Recorder asked for my Account number with Countrywide. I do not have any accounts with Countrywide, they then asked for my SSN#, I refused to give that, I tried to reach a real person, which was impossible to do. I believe this is a scam.

- RozI received a letter for Bank of America Loan Servicing in Plano, Texas with the phone # 1-800-669-4578 no extention, this is an attempt to collect a debt if you are behind in mortgage payments. BAC Home Loan Servicing, LP is a subsidiary of Bank of America, NA.
If you don't have an account tell them to stop calling and don't give your SSN# to anyone, they should abe able to accept an account number if they really are from Bank of America. Also, Countrywide was taken offer by Bank of America in June 2009 and they are not authorized to discuss anyone account, all accounts were tranferred to BofA. I am a former mortgage broker and have my loan through Bank of America. All consumers have a Right to Privay and all collections agencies must be licensed and bonded in the state you live in, they cannot collect unless they are licensed in your state. Check with your state to find which agency governs collection agencies and if that agency is not listed, then send them a letter by certified mail, copy the agency in your state they have to hold a license with and tell them to stop harrassment or you will report them, guarantee they will leave you alone. Never any personal information to anyone and do everthing in writing by certified-mail.- Caller: Countrywide

- Liz| 1 replyWe arrived home from Church today about 2:30 and found a note taped to our door. It was a strip of paper about 2" wide and on the opposite side was a child's math worksheet. The paper said:
Confidential For: and had my husband's first name and our last name SPELLED INCORRECTLY!!
Please call: Contact Loan Servicing at: 8006694578
An independent property inspection visited your property today for CHL
We do not have a loan through Countrywide Home Loans since they have been bought out by Bank of America. The audacity of coming by our home unannounced and leaving a unprofessional note like this is beyond me.- Caller: CHL
- Lynn replies to LizThe same thing happened to me! Our loan used to be with Countrywide and is now with Bank of America. I wonder what these people are up to!
- Ticked offThis call is from Bank of America. When they call, remind them that the only reason they are even working is because you (the taxpayer) gave their frigging company money to stay in business. Sue them if you can. They are all idiots.

- MFSlips of paper = mortgage "inspection" done. Legal to check on the home to see if it's occupied or not as it's in the mortgage documents.
The slip is just a way to try and get you to call. Even though they call you as is....and send you mail...and more mail...and maybe check on neighbors to see if you're there (wouldn't be surprised)....
Don't fall behind on your mortgage!
(of course it's been known for them to mess up a lot of records too!)- Caller: Bank of America
